did fireball got super nerf?
-
@Specter @Prometheus i used my fireball the last days, and it seems it got a huge nerf or it is a bug, in the past it damaged about 750 damage raw, and killed pack of wolfs and pack of sporling (the small tree like monsters), but now with +spell damage talent and enchantment (20%) +int it still do not kills them, and on the big monsters it shows 350 damage, only very few times, 750 damage.
i have about 20 int and the spell says damage 100+int*28 so it should have been 640, and then + spell damage 20% should be 128 damage, so i should make 768 damage. and i have the 40% ignore resistance talent.

It allows an evasion save for half damage, right? Your enemies are probably just succeeding on their save.
-
@grofire
Many enemies right now have very high all around magic-ice-fire resist.
-
@Kriptini 90% of the time ?? it seems not logical
@MaxFlex even if its true, i have 40% less magic res, so i do not see how 350 will be the normal damage.

"40% less magic resistant" talent seems ignore magic resistant only,not ice or fire resistant but magic,it works for magic missles only i think

@GrimMerc if that true then its not worth take for now... a spell should show what type of damage it does.
-
@grofire fireball says it deals Fire damage: 100+INT*28 in it's description

As mage i would paralyze to drop the evasion to 0 for 10s then nuke

Apparently there was a 'fix' on the critical damage as it was being miscalculated. I heard Prometheus saying that he'll fix it on Monday. I'm assuming this was the 'fix' and now we're seeing a more appropriate damage?

Yeah as it stands, too many mage abilities just don't seem to work well, due to "Magic" only counting for pure magic damage and not fire/ice etc, especially considering the dearth of talents that affect any of these schools. I don't see much point in there being mages right now considering how much better life is for Quarterstaff melee etc.
