What kind of Arch-type are you?
-
A profession being a merchant, crafter, enchanter, builder, etc.
I'm interested in what kind of characters are going to be brought up in fractured, any thoughts?
I'm currently thinking about making a warrior smith, or a warrior enchanter.
-
All depends man...
If there is anything that even hints of Necromancer though, that's where I zero in
-
It depends on the game balance.
If all "classes" are nicely balanced then I prefer to play an archer, but if archer in a particular game is shit, then I will play something else instead.
-
@thegreatelleon if there is going to be a lich or necromancer i would definitely love that class
-
@Jahlon Yeah, It's fun having other things fight for you, especially the undead, some nice life or energy drain would be pretty cool too, using people as living batteries is a little frightening.
@Gothix I agree, game balance sometimes gives people an opportunity to create a single op build that, after, a few people follow suit, but I do hope they nail it, it would be awesome to see not just a select few Arch-types, but a wide and diverse variety to make things exciting. But is it a traditional archer or a ranger type you're looking at?
@simpleacee I believe there is a way to transform a human into a lich, through rituals and spells, but over necromancy I usually prefer summoning, but that's just me, what kind of spells do you think will be associated with necromancy? (other than raising the dead)
-
just want to remind you all, there is no classes in the game, so you can do what ever you want, the only issue is what stat you choose at start.
-
Sad to see that there is no choice for healer/support as that is my archtype.
-
Always play tanks
-
@grofire I used the term Arch type to define a sort of build instead of class, although you could argue there are classes, you just aren't assigned a specific one, and can create your own class.
@EvolGrinZ Well, from what I saw there is restoration magic, so, it could possibly include support spells that buff health Regen or stamina/endurance.
@WhoAteTheCat Awesome, if you had the chance, what kind of other skill do you think you could see yourself using? (I.e. smithing, enchanting etc..)
Or if you would just go buy new gear instead of reinforcing your own?
-
At this point, some type of rogue-ish character, potentially a gatherer/leatherworker type profession.
-
I wanna see how the musician school works out since the spotlight did say it can be used to deal damage.
-
I keep looking at the marksmanship, musicianship, and restorative branches. Not sure yet if combining all three or just some combination of 2 or going pure with focus on only one style.
-
I like to play healer too, but I'll go for an assassin with my demon, just to try.
-
"Necromancer"

@grofire said in What kind of Arch-type are you?:

Well yeah, but you have to have "something" in mind that you are going to design to.
-
The more I think about it, the more I want to become a lich and a smith and name my shop 'The undead Carapace' or something.
-
@TheGreatElleon I prefer range focused archers, but those that still have enough melee tools to apply CC and escape the danger when needed (Just melee CC, not melee damage).
-
@gothix Sounds awesome, cc and get away. Quite annoying to play against those builds, but they are effective.
-
Catenary.
-
@kairosval What's a catenary? Excuse my ignorance.
