Anyone else weirdly pleased with the visuals?
-
So I'm a bit late to the party but I've just seen the pre-alpha gameplay and I didn't like it for the first 5 mins of the game but then it really grew on me. I think I was expecting something more fantasy like a top down dauntless but when i changed my mindset to a more realistic looking world I really started to enjoy it. I mean it's not the best/most intense graphics out there, but it doesn't have to be and it also kind of remind me of Diablo 2 (if it good a huge upgrade of course).
But yea, any other opinions on this?
-
exactly what I thought. It is reminiscent of the diablo LOD days for me
-
I'm not really a fan of the visuals, but the other elements have me hooked, so I think I'll be able to get used to them or even learn to like them.
-
Yeah, I had the same thought. Pretty big fan of the visuals. It does grow on you, but I can also understand why it might not be some folks cup of tea.
-
At the day of 360° 3d game is not really surprising you had some dislike at the beginning.
-
I guess just the older player around like the isometric view from beginning, since they are used to it back in the old days.
For me graphical benefits are nice, but wayyyy more important is the gameplay and gamesystem.
What gives me the best graphic at a totally boring game?
-
love the isometric view, had lots of fun with Ultima online and diablo, looking forward to the kickstarter
-
The graphics are a little rough around the edges but I think that adds to the appeal of the game! I've loved what I've seen of the visuals so far
-
@pakub Diablo 2 is one of the best games ever made. I find the Fractured graphic really good. Way better than flashy multicolor games.
-
I pick this over any polished turd from Korea, like:
-Aion
-ArcheAge
-Black Desert
-Bless Online (didn't play it but the news is bad enough)
-
Just wanted to clairify that you are talking about art style not graphics.
Graphics are how many polygons are displayed while art style makes it look cartoony or realistic or steampunk, etc.
-
seams an albion but more realistic
-
It definitely has a very Diablo 2 feel to it, and I love that.
Sort of an MMO version of Path of Exile, perhaps?
Looks very promising.

Yeah I love the art style. Hopefully with more development the features could be even more realistic. I am really excited to see all the visual effects and environment interactions there may be.
