Suggestion about daily message quest

Suggestion would be that this quest is changed to "post a constructive daily message", because just spamming anything random in a "posting daily message" thread should really not be what the quest is about.
Quest should incite people to actually read discussions and post something constructive.
So, imho, it would be a big plus to modify this quest to actually suggests that (and then close that daily message thread that will just grow to million posts, and suffocate the forums needlessly).

at least it's contained to 1 topic post. sometimes you don't want to read the 30+ unread threads so you just pop on the daily quest and type in hello.

You'd just end up with dozens of people half-assing "constructive" posts. I'd rather have people posting in the daily thread than clogging up other threads. Plus until the gameplay video dropped, there were only like 4 posts a day outside of the welcome forum. The daily thread allowed people to get their posts in instead of arguing about pvp for another 50 pages.

@gothix We already have the drawings to reward constructive posts.
The daily mainly exists to encourage members to return to the website.

Interesting idea, but someone would have to read through absolutely everything and grade each post for being "constructive". Not sure there is a standard way to do this other than having something else as the mod said regarding drawings.

The problem of daily posts are not the reward system, but the often stupid user who not think a second and then don't choose for just an hello the daily message post on Offtopic.
The Daily Hello don't bother me, more the "Write a new topic".
I think this Quest i would remove, since noone has the time to qualify it, if there would be a "Write a new useful topic".
But the system of reward could get changed with the rating dependency like "Write a new useful topic that gets 10 rated points by other users".
But that will just work, if people learn to use this feature.Meanwhile i just let show me the important Forum-Parts in the "Unread" and most spam i don't see anymore.

@specter That really is only reserved for people who make giant walls of text that includes mass amounts of information.

@d0tn3t The requirements aren't that strict. As long as you participate on the forum and write more than "cool game", you're well underway towards getting an entry into the drawing.

@d0tn3t Randomly selected. Everyone eligble goes into the drawing and we use a random number generator to pick the winners.
