Twitch Q&A Video recording is where...?
-
Hi!
Time zone issues made it impossible for me to be present for the livestreamed Q&A but I saw a 25 second tease clip of @Prometheus saying he was starting to record for posterity. Can someone please post the link to that here for me?Multo grazie!
-
Well, since it does not seem to be on the Twitch Channel, we can only hope that it will be uploaded to youtube later I guess

So..... the run down of the things we discussed:
Arboreus is 100% PvE (Jacobo says PvP does not exist on Arboreus)
They are going to try to get Arboreus in the game by the last alpha test or the start of the Beta.
Governors can turn city PvP on/off
Players have to apply for a Crafting Role to use the city assets which have to be accepted by the governor.
Governors can set taxes on the city asset uses.
Resource Mines will be City controlled. However, there will be many single repositories added around the territory that have no permission control.
City assets use the City Tech Tree, non-city housing can only do up to "good" quality.
Cities can join together to make Nations. The more cities allied together, the higher the tech tree can go.
City picking on the Map will now be "Select the city you want to govern, the first governors with 20 people signed up will get that city"Leap Slam is a thing, and will be implemented. This ability gives any person not-wielding a staff the ability to jump a certain distance regardless of the armor they are wearing.

There it is

Leap Slam is a thing

Prometheus really needs to rework the way he's presenting this kind of (important) information. Links to a recorded version have to be easily accessible on the webpage as soon as that's uploaded. And, important points should be transcribed.

Time for the community to do that!
Since they are a very small studio, we can stay as a community behind them and help with such stuff.
We did that in the past too.
I would be glad, if a community member, who is native or very good english speaking, takes the video and creates a summary out of the Q&A

I offer a cookie for transcribtion or notes!

Yes, and no. I'm not saying that they should hire additional people or that one of the developers should take the task, but that it should be handled through 'official' channels. Give people the option to apply for that with a small in-game reward, if you have 2-3 volunteers, make sure the job's getting done in time and post the transcription in the official news post. That way it is very little work for the studio and it's still easily visible for people who don't browse the forum.
-
@Logain Yeah, that could work probably. But isn't that different to my "Let the community do that." Because this volunteers would come from the community.

As I understand it, the Content Creators get nice perks. There's a Partner Program thru Xsola, I believe, although I wasn't able to find the link I have run into before that puts content creators in touch with @Prometheus & the dev team. Someone who was down for doing edited transcriptions of live vids would probably qualify. Doncha think?

The key difference is continuous commitment and accessibility. The community would do it, but the studio would ensure that somebody's doing it and if the person that used to do it no longer is available, would get somebody else. And the average joe who doesn't want to read through dozens of forum pages would have access to the transcript right in the news posting (where it should be )

I am agreeing here.
I think too, it would be a big advantage for the studio, to involve some people from community for such stuff.
There are more tasks that are to do in future, per example the translations.
I know many other indie games, where the translations are made by the community.
It would also save much money for the studio, if they don't have to hire expensive professionals for that.
