@thwunk Alpha will have no NDA and will allow streaming and stuff so I'm sure there we'll see some videos in January

i think the most important thing is NOT to make system that will make it harder for players and not necessary for bots. Reporting and having GMs take care of it seems to be the best system.

In safe zones (on Arboreus) I could read a book while gathering - then I'd miss chat and stuff until it's "too late" But I could then talk with GM and sort it out.

Seems that angels will be locked in good alignment. And probably will be immune to curse on Tartaros (I don't like this one).

@logain not really. Having the testers spend as much time as possible in the game should be one of top priorities. And that info would help with that - as I said just a topic on forum would be enough - my guess is @Specter will cover that

Paying and not showing is much easier as some people have lots of money to spare. Look at the crazy people that spent 5k$$ on Fractured Investing tons of time and then not having a bit of time for pre-alpha? Not likely.

That would be mastery in trolling work for a year to get into Pre-Alpha just to ignore it when it's up. Master at stupidity as well

@jetah Prometheus said servers will be up for days at a time (or at least should be). It's not that important but a 'nice to have' thing. It could basically be a topic in Pre-alpha forum part. One game I've played used stuff like that - locked topic with just title changing. Simple solution that doesn't require any additional programming

I think you're forgetting that it's not 2 sides like in many games. Evil characters can defend good town if they want to and good can attack (tho it will be very hard as they cannot harm good or neutral). And definitely there will be neutrals on both sides. Now if you want FF off then who should be hit by AoE?

And if FF would be on for good alignment then they wouldn't be able to safely use it at all. So it would be a big advantage for evil chars.

What's more most of Syndesia should be neutral so complaining about good being OP is kind of... not wise. Especially since we don't know how powerful AoE skills will be.

@hyrius no. that's just a info what to do to have a chance to get into pre-alpha.

@jetah looking at other alpha experiences it might be something like this sometimes:

• servers will be down for 15 mins right now! emergency fix
  3h later:
• servers are back up

@target @Gibbx If they want to add controller support (and I don't know if they will) it's practically the same coding for movement as WASD.

@Prometheus claimed that WASD would be worse then mouse movement and I don't agree with that statement. And many others don't agree with it either.

Not sure how long would it take to add it - should be only few hours for one guy tho I understand that's already a lot for small team.
