During the first open test, people had issues that no 'tutorial' existed, holding their hand to teach them the basics. The developers listened to that feedback and implemented a short tutorial. Baking bread is simply the most trivial form of conveying gathering resources and crafting, which is why the fields are marked as hotspots on the map.

The reason you can't get a Wisp at all as a warrior for now is because of missing options. For instance, you still can't enchant your weapon to make it deal non-physical damage, and shared party knowledge gains are not a thing yet.

Now, that being said, I'd like to remind you that having to change your character build (even radically) to be able to defeat a specific creature is a core part of PvE in Fractured. Actually, the fact that pretty much only Wisps force you to do that as of today is quite sad

Hi @Denyde @Laveilath @Stacy555, we are very much aware of the many issues with PvP balancing in the open playtest Most notably:
- TTK (time-to-kill) is generally too low due to insane burst damage options, both from spells and from critical damage. The latter is particularly problematic.
- Different attributes (STR, DEX, etc) are quite imbalanced.
- There were several bugs, such as Frenzy granting too much attack speed, "double crits", etc.
The May Open Playtest was the first time ever the game featured a serious PvP option (militias), so it was the first time we got significant player feedback on it. We'll include our findings and corrective actions in our playtest review!

This is 99% likely due to the bad way the game is doing loading assets from disk to ram. We're reworking the system in full, it should be live before Alpha 2 - Test 3.

This was clearly taken on Friday when we had issues with our login server. Same for @Lamfadha. You could play in the following days right?

Yes we are aware of this, happens when switching to/from Low settings. We'll make it so that you have to relaunch the client if you change the guilty setting

Hi! It's pretty hard to tell what's going on in your case. You seem to have very little RAM available, but I don't think it's that. We've just ported to a newer version of Unity (haven't release a patch yet), maybe that will fix it for you. If not, we'll have to look into it again.

Open Playtest Extension & Rollback Gifts
Hi everyone!
The May Open Playtest has been running for 2 days now, and we hope youβre having as much fun playing as we doβ¦ watching you play
Performance-wise, the first day of stress-testing has been remarkably smooth, even at peak times. The second one, sadly not so much!
To make up for that, we have decided to extend the Open Playtest till Wednesday morning and give you all some Dynamight Tokens!

Hi @Gaelinon, what I think happened is that you lost connection with the server, but somehow your character wasn't deleted and you didn't get pushed back to character selection. You were then moving just client side with a "dummy character", basically. Data for terrains and decorations (grass etc) is in the client, so you could walk around the whole continent but found no resources, no monsters, no players... because you were not connected to the server.
This is the first time we hear something like that happening, we'll investigate. Sorry for the bad experience!

Our terms of service are pretty clear, the content we do not accept is that which
"violates any third-party right or any intellectual property or proprietary right; (ii) that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, tortious, threatening, harmful, invasive of anotherβs privacy, vulgar, defamatory, false, intentionally misleading, trade libelous, pornographic, obscene, patently offensive, promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual; (iii) that is harmful to minors in any way; or (iv) that is in violation of any law, regulation, or obligations or restrictions imposed by any third party"
Our moderation stance will be different on the 3 planets. Arboreus will be strictly moderated, while we'll let cursing and such flow more freely on Tartaros.
That being said, some things have no place even on Tartaros. Racism, xenophobia and homophobia are clearly such things. The user mentioned by OP has been banned from the open playtest, by the way.
Also, our community is usually super nice, I've only ever seen this kind of stuff happening during open weekends

@Nekrage definitely, it's really lame. We haven't implemented a proper logout timer yet. We're working on it just now - you'll be able to logout immediately in town / at home, while otherwise there's going to be a 1 minute timer (or even longer).
Also, we're adding a "coup de grace" option to kill players knocked down
We actually wanted to get both in before this test but couldn't make it in time, sorry for that!

Open Playtest Server Restart (May 29, 1pm CEST)
Hi all,
while trying to generate some metrics in the live world I accidentally overloaded the SpatialOS deployment (the "game server", you could call that). This caused a crash of all server workers (the processes controlling the world).
World data were not corrupted, and all server workers were restarted, so the deployment became functional again. However, something is still obviously broken in there, so I'm moving all of you to a new deployment, which should be live in 10m or so. The old deployment is being investigated by the SpatialOS engineers.
No world progress should have been lost. Some player progress might have. Please let us know if so!
Apologies for the inconvenience. Big lesson learnt here.
