I'm glad they went for isometric as well!

RE: Hey Sunti, is all art on your website, concept art for Fractured?
Some very nice work there @Sunti !

RE: Female armour
Thanks a bunch for the insight @Sunti ! I'm looking forward to the design journal on the topic

Isn't the blindfold a bigger issue?
You've got to ask the girl(s) that complain there, though I guess a blindfold can be set and removed way faster than a body armor. Who knows, a magic spell might require a blindfold, which is easily adjusted through dragging down a frontlet?

I am pretty certain that first pic is a Dryad type character, not a beastman.
I can not judge that, but it's a 'first perception' issue. If it's not a beastman though, why is it showcased as concept art under the bestman tab?
@vengu said in Female armour:
Also, that human is probably a NPC related to the human's justice system, judging by the scale and blindfold. I don't see what's wrong with cloth armor. Mages tend to wear cloth.
The cloth she's wearing is not the issue, the metal around her belly is. Either wear real metal/plate armor, or not at all. Just wearing it 'cosmetically' around the belly is stupid for any warrior to go into battle Again... a first perception issue.

We'll cover that in the future for sure - actually, we're going to show it, and it will be actual armor, no "Asian MMO" stuff.
Thanks, much appreciated!
@prometheus said in Female armour:
That being said, where's the "bikini babe" exactly?
She checked out the three different races and found a completely nude female beast, a half nude female demon and a female human who covers her belly with 'armor' but disregards the rest.
Her exact words were:
'Universe - Beastment (naked lady with leaves added to shoulders), Demons (half naked lady with her breasts out)
Humans - lady in gauzy dress with classic armoured corset

Somebody already ask for that, and they said they do their design write-ups with male model for more simplicity (...)
Yeah, thanks, I remembered that, but wanted to highlight the fact that it's tricky to market the game to a female audience like that.

Female armour
Any chance that you'd include the idea of 'female armor' in one of your design write-ups?
I tried to advertise the game to somebody who shrugged, replied it's 'bikini babes' and never came back. I kind of hope that the 'very open' female 'armor' we saw in the concept art so far isn't meant to be armor and that women wear real armor in the game, but it is tricky to advertise that. -

Only if we have a completely unrealistic, lame 'bag of unlimited holding', like in so many other a dime a dozen wanna-be MMORGPs.

(...)when you need to "feed" your character once every 20 minutes(...)
A day is roughly 2 RL hours. If they have boss battles taking more than 4 RL hours... then gosh, that's both going to be epic AND a bugger for many a people to attend. You should be easily capable of staying alive for 2+ days without food or water. So, that's hardly an issue.
Now I don't think they ever said you'd have to manually eat and drink, just that you have to ensure your character has access to both (your character could likely feed itself just fine, as long as what it needs is at hand).
The added benefit to the game is that you have to plan, like you would with a battle (e.g. don't go and be a fire-based mage trying to battle knee deep in flowing water, you now don't want to wear heavy plate armor on a rowing boat and you might want to get a bit of water stockpiled before you attempt to cross a desert). And if something occurs that spoils your plan, you are ~challenged~ with the task of dealing with the new situation.
I could lure you into a hot and dry area while you're trailing me because I dared to send an arrow at your friend, I could sneak at you and steal your food at night, while you're trying to walk around on the demon planet,... there's suddenly plenty more opportunity for strategic gameplay. -

I seriously hope that they are 'stressed on'. I hate 'optional food', because survival is a massive part of any decent story. As such it can add a lot to a players experience.

Wieso eigentlich gerade die 3 Fraktionen? @Logain

RE: Greetings from Spain.
@vengu said in Greetings from Spain.:
(...) an actual working MMO before the Kickstarter (...)
I know and I like that, though I think 'working' is going to be at a limited scope (else you'd not need a Kickstarter anymore) and something like group combat skills might not be fully implemented at such a state. I'm more like hoping to get more information on that regards during the Kickstarter, that'd already satisfy me

I hope that we will see in a gameplay in a near future to see how it works.
I'd love to see some of that during a kickstarter campaign as well!
