I can completely understand you. I've been patiently waiting and supporting the game well over six years, backed on Kickstarter and am still waiting for a response to my message to support for over 5 month now.

As stated, I do not think that you support war crimes, I said that the moderation decisions side with people who do. I can fully understand that you want to encourage and create a place where everybody can feel secure and welcome, but I do not want to be part of a space where people that support malicious real life actions feel save and welcome. Not because of their origin, but because of their actions. As for your quote, it's not an actual quote from the conversation, but, as you said, you provided a personal view and as such I'm going to keep it private.

I'm German. For nearly a century I have been told that Germans have been complicit in actions I can not mention without delving into politics because they enabled these actions by remaining silent. Even if it hurts me personally, I can not remain silent and do not accept the fact that claiming a certain decision by Gamigo was the best (and only good) decision by that company is now condemned as 'hate speech' by the very same moderation team that signed a contract with Gamigo and that has been previously defending that very decision back when it was obviously not 'hate speech'.

I would have never imagined me saying this, but I wish Gamigo would be back. It is astonishing to me that the same moderators that worked under Gamigo and signed contracts with that company, now blame supporting Gamigo's only reasonable decision, something they defended while working under Gamigo, something that goes in line with European law and political consensus, as 'hate speech'.
Pity, I was looking forward to playing/testing in the next few days.

As far as we've been told, servers would most likely be US based for now, but DS has started experiments testing ping difference with EU based servers. Depending on the results (including of this stress test), they are probably evaluating the situation. The great point about their current setup is that they could easily run one continent on an EU server and another on an US server (3 continents per planet have always been planned) and you could simply travel between them 'by harbor' in game. Just an idea from my side though.
Loving it how some questions get instant answers and some never.

Is the game going to launch/be persistent without the following items:
I am worried that several of these points alienate a part of the community (e.g. PvP players would be 'forced' to either start on Syndesia, leading to issues with their desired playstyle, or wait till month after launch where others have a massive head-start with the now tilted vertical progression), have a serious impact on balance/progress (e.g. city upkeep and city voting would mean you build something and suddenly loose it later on due to changed circumstances), or were used as incentive to generate revenue (name reservation/character slots/VIP) and could lead to disappointment.
Furthermore, could you please update us on the promised AMA, the video(s) and a new roadmap?
And last, but not least, as always, thank you for your time and effort.
[Edit: Included Steam on the list, since I'm sure persistence without being on Steam first would lead to rather negative feedback/reviews. Yes, Steam users could play through the custom launcher, but they decided to buy the game via Steam for a reason]

So to be clear, you don't consider having to do the same 'boss run' several hundred times with a RNG to be 'grind', right?
First you want the Legendaries to be announced and PvP, because you want more PvP and when you notice that less people kill Legendaries because of that, you want to entice them with pure grind. And that's better than the advertised solution of tying the system to exploration in a game that had 'NO GRIND' as part of it's unique selling proposition since even before Kickstarter.

We now know how they implemented it:

So, no, you don't have to explore, it's the opposite, you have to hamster-wheel grind the same best spot for days, until you get lucky with the random number generator. It's the easiest and fastest way they could implement a long term grind.
