Hunger and thirst can be exist in a system where you get a bonus or malus, depending on the food you take. No drinking in a hot area makes you slow, warm food in a snowarea gives you warming effect, too much alcohol gives you a miss multiplicator and so on and so on.
An usual buffsystem like we know it by many other mmos would be terrible boring for me.

RE: Rewards
Oh yes, i'm very curious about it too.
Still so long till we can get into it! -
RE: Other mmo?
Finding a good game to play inbetween is not that easy. Games i played before was annoying me for different reasons. At the moment i switch a bit to get the time over till Fractured goes live.
I have a beloved coplayer who sadly has very less time since some months. Good thing, he will have maybe more time again, when Fractured is going into the Alpha.
For now we play together games like 7 Days to Die, The Forest and Path of Exile.
For alone playing while i wait for him, i play a bit Oxygen is not included.
But thats all games that just attract for a while.
Personally i really set very much hopes into Fractured, that it will attract me very very long time. -
RE: Rewards
We get reward that are good enough, even the people who are not in the top100 (yet). I think too that the rewards they give us are totally okay. They have not to do it, other games give just rewards for brackets at kickstarter or for preorders.

RE: Week 08/09/10 - Weekly Drawing Winners
I'm back to forum after a short break
Congratulation to the last winner of Drawings! -
RE: Players social issues
Player issue management can be very difficult, because on the one hand it is requested from many player who are social competent enough to handle it with care and on the other hand it can be easily abused by player who just want to troll.
But i guess it is possible if the player to player issue management will be implemented as a community system, means, if there are some options to flag player as "evil/enemy" then the community should be able to regulate it, if it is shown, that there will be just some trolling marauders.
I'm very curious, what we get by developers to handle social interaction between player. -
RE: Suggestion ingame pub
Yes, how i could forget this!
Well okay for getting drunk and smoke some herbs i'm in!
-
RE: Suggestion ingame pub
That you guys just can think on getting drunk and get some girls for the night.... soooo typically
I would suggest as a theme of one tavern in a kind of Shisha-Bar.
Chilling around and do some funny games in it. -

@kralith I know, I misunderstood what Dalton said, if you read my previous message ^^ Of course I'm for guild lore and more diversified rank name !
Let's call it language barrier

RE: Guild Ranks.
@esher said in Guild Ranks.:
Guild ranks just apply on the forum, I don't think there is a need fit it to the lore ^^ (guild lore ? Is there a guild lore ? ^^)
Why there should not be a guild lore?
If you create a guild you do it with a special sense. You want to have the biggest, fastest, socialist or most destructive guild. Or maybe you just want to have a family or brother/sisterhood.
Every path of guilds create their own lore. Thats the reason it will have a need for customizable ranks.
Or Imagine the friendly tribe of beasts have ranks like "Officer", "Warlord" or "Rekrut". It would not fit and it would not liked by the people who want to travel in an unique atmosphere. -
RE: Something unique about Fractured
Indeed PvEers are the biggest part of community, but even PVEers want to make PVP sometimes. So the game would be unique, when it can attract both. Not to forget the Roleplayers, if you can hold them too, you will have a very unique character of the game.
If the world will be that dynamic as they mention, then it can be a balance between all playstyles.
I want to explore, to meet, to be surprised about hidden things, to get exited about the details in the world lores and decorations. Also i want to get in fear, if i start a dangerous travel to a rough world and to try to be a hero, when i'm able to defend the values of my mind.
And i wish, that all areas will be content of whole gamelife, no matter if it is the "starterarea", the usual "leveling area" or the supposed "endgame area". -

Why not, but i would like to have the option to make it public to attract some random player who like to be to hangout with you in your great created atmosphere.
Who said that guild cities won't be public? I think you will be able to visit them, spend your money in them, etc.
Noone said.
It was just a wish by me to make your own places public.
Also here it is to say, that we need to wait for more informations about Settlements and its Restrictions and Rightsystem.
But yeah, definetivly it would be cool, if you can build up trading posts on your own settlements, where people can buy your stuff when they comes by. Or even use your creation like special events, parcourses, minigames that you can offer for the random wanderer. -
RE: protecting your settlement
@Finland Yes i know i know.
But even Prometheus and the team don't want "one big city" or "random mass on houses", we don't know much about the system they will implement for settlements.
I just hope it will not be so restricted or limited, that you just can build without any atmosphere and every settlement looks like all other and it will be no fun to create your own special place.
Well, i guess at the end we have to wait, till they give us more information about the settlements. -
RE: protecting your settlement
@chrightt Yes, i know this systems, but the fear about seperated housing areas/places are the not social acting community.
I know especially in Archage, where the housing spaces was hoarded by a few player and new player had almost no chance to get a free space.
I would suggest a more opposite system:
The devs should create restricted areas around their own settlements and places they don't want to get changed and the player can build outside in the world wherever they want.I can just take again Salem as an example:
- Maintown of Salem is an restriced claim by Devs, also all traveling points are restricted, so noone can build there anything.
- Outside of the world it is possible to build at any place your own settlement. When you build a settlement, then you claim an area depending on the ingame money you wanted to spend. Between 2 claims there is a non claimable area of 3 tiles, so you can't overlap claims and it is always possible to travel between them.
- There are some bigger towns in Salem, but not "one mega town", because the player itself regulating the placement. Especially the bigger towns don't want another one next to them, in reason of free space and ressources and the possibility to expand the town later. So they questioned the too close settlement owner (if they was lucky, they did it friendly) to move elsewhere.
-
RE: protecting your settlement
Well, restrictions are okay. Just let hope, the limits are not that hard, that the world is empty, because player just st sit in their houses somewhere in the nowhere-housing areas.
-
RE: protecting your settlement
@chrightt To restrict building just in special housing areas would be against the sandbox they mentioned.
Housing areas are great for Themepark MMOs, because the world itself is static.
But i bet most player who are attracted by the sandbox element would drop the game if the sandbox is not a real sandbox.
And if we get a real sandbox, then there is a must have for defending elements for building.
There can be a claimsystem, that secure the space for the owner, but even this claim should be possible to siege. For me personally it would be a totally minus for Fractured if the sandbox will be just instanced and seperated from the world we walk through.

Guilds can build their own cities here, so I think it would be best if any guild could build such a tavern in their own city.

RE: Suggestion ingame pub
The idea is a nice one. But i suggest not just one pub, there should be more spots with such places, every with his own Lore and theme.
And @EvolGrinZ sure intanced would lower the risk to zero, but believe me, to get some fear to reach it can attract the gameplay and would be more Roleplay like than just go through some stupid portal.
But there could be different taverns/pubs with different difficulty to reach them and maybe get some special reward depending on the difficulty of the path to it. -
RE: Week 05/06 - Weekly Drawing Winners
Thank you @Prometheus
@muker I think the weekly drawing is all about participating into the community. It's not about the best idea, is more to carry the community to this point where we can be proud of an active and social together.
