The less points, the more choice matters. Having too many points will bring us closer to homogeneous cookie cutter builds.

RE: Death Penalty of losing all gear and inventory: WORST IDEA EVER!!!
That is one aspect that I like about Fractured. Death matters. You are incentivized to not let another player take you, because their reward for killing you is getting your stuff. This makes the combat hold weight and pushes players to actually care about trying to survive, which is how it should be. Of course, this is only related to the PvP. The PvE in the alpha is so easy that it isn't actually possible to die, which will probably be adjusted in the future.

RE: City Claiming Has Launched
It is good to know that 15 was the minimum and not the limit for large towns. I was worried about having to camp while watching my guildmates enjoy their town.

@Kralith said in Which is cuter, the Fox or Cat companion.:
There is no "or"!
I got them all! This is the right answer. There can never be enough cuteness.

RE: Alpha 2 - Test 3 Surveys
I didn't play through G.Round, but am I correct in understanding that making a G.Round account and leaving a review would help out development? The more funding you guys get, the better.

RE: Dexterity giving speed bonus might be an issue
I'm mostly thinking that the speed bonus should scale to be higher as dexterity increases. The speed boost from 18>19 should be greater than from 10>11.

RE: Spring Alpha Major Release #1
That is some quick work! Remember to stay calm and civil, everyone. We are here to have fun! I look forward to testing the balance changes and mostly running the most successful bar in Myr. Everyone should keep in mind that balancing a game is very difficult and often doesn't even happen after years of attempts in many MMOs. This game is in early alpha and the team is making changes based on feedback.

Evasion is currently useless in its current state
At the moment, I am able to reach over 600 evasion with inspire, yet it is effectively no different than being 0 in PvP.
If you are stunned, you cannot dodge attacks. The issue with this is currently the meta for melee is centered around abilities like Bash, Shockwave. and Word of Power: Stun, which all currently disregard evasion and have no diminishing returns. Meaning, in a battle, you can be stunned immediately by an ability that you cannot dodge with evasion, and then all subsequent melee hits will be guaranteed to land on you. Not to mention that critical strikes cannot be evaded, nor many spells.

RE: Solo playing became extremely difficult.
Am I missing something? I was able to defeat every enemy this alpha, solo, with non-enchanted scholar armor.

RE: Roadmap To Fall Alpha 2021
If neutral is better than evil in almost every way, what is the incentive to be evil? The one thing we can do over neutral is kill good players, but as mentioned, they drop the least amount of gear and will probably be the least encountered in the world. I feel that you have to have pros and cons for each, making them evil as possible. The way I see it, neutral and good have mostly pros where evil is now mostly cons.

RE: In Communicado
Dark Souls is a third person game which makes it remarkably easy to show by your characters movements how you are thinking and what you intend:
This isn't true at all. Dark souls gave you so many tools to deceive others. Such as a ring that made your phantom white instead of red, so they thought you were friendly. Invisible spells or a ring that masked your visibility from a distance. There was an item I loved in Dark Souls 3 that transformed you into an object in the environment. And heck, there are many times where as a purple phantom I would earn the trust of the host, and then betray them with a satisfying kick down a cliff or backstab. I loved all of that. You never know what a stranger is going to do, which always keeps a feeling of suspense. Being 'relaxed' in a PvP game is synonymous with being bored. Could you imagine playing an RPG where you know beforehand who you can trust and who will betray you? That spoils the game.

@asspirin I was going off https://fractured.gamepedia.com/Critical_Chance where it says "Critical strikes cannot be evaded."
