everyone's thoughts on the game

so I have yet to play and am wondering about everyone's thoughts on the game is it really good? I hope so, please tell me your thoughts.

@TheBlank The Murderer Of Albion
-
@muker u really think so?
-
@MrFlako What else could it be? In addition to the fact that this game promises great potential, so we can also send the developers in the right direction.
-
@TheBlank i suggest you to read all the News from the beginning, especially the spotligths, then read a bit around in the forum, there are tons of thoughts about the game, the studio and its vision.
And then form yourself an own picture about the game and tell us about.
We are not even in Alpha, so we can‘t tell you, how the game will be, we just can tell about how we like the vision and see its progress, and we did, many many times

so far mediocre. Ok-ish game overall, but should be fun/good for niche groups. Decently unique with novel ideas, not completely sure about execution yet.
-
I absolutely have to agree here. Many of these novel ideas sound absolutely phenomenal on paper. But I’ll really need to see them in action before I can say “this is a [insert game here] killer”. Doing so already really seems to be putting the cart before the horse
I have faith we will get a great game, it’s why I backed it. But I definitely won’t put on rose colored glasses.

Nobody should do this!
-
Mmm... nowadays people don't even see sarcasm...
Any Battle Royal can be called a killer PUBG release and no matter how much it will be bad, because it will in any case take part of the audience from a competitor.

Yes, we chose the red pill

What else?
By the way, Knowledge...
Thats an good example, Fractured's Knowledge system would maybe become THE new killer for isometric gaming or it is "too hard to understand" how horizontal progression work - the usual steam consumer with its 500+ game library don't like more complex mechanics, it want a light consumable game.
Sure, there will be people there who are like you and me, but in front of them standing a swarm of grasshoppers, a biiiig swarm.
-
My thoughts are:
LET ME HAVE IT
-
We'd have to wait till very late into the Beta to see what it might become. Much too early to say how it'd do right now.
-
Very promising.
-
In short:
- ISOMETRIC MMORPG
- click to move style
- sandbox driven
- open (non instanced) world, 3 planet with different PvP rules (FFA PvP, structured PvP with consequences, limited/ no PvP with super large safe zone) to appeal to all play styles
- focused on gathering resources, crafting, trading, exploring and fighting around resources and cities that can control zones (sieges)
- horizontal progression, learn new spells for different situations, more tools, customize armor for different circumstances, but do not grow more powerful in total damage done with same type of spells
- open world housing, build your home in city or solo in wilderness
- FULL LOOT (where PvP is allowed)
- graphics look very nice, and game play looks smooth so far
- buy to play with optional VIP subscription, that should not be a P2W feature, but rather an extra QoL option
- nice dev studio that has so far been honest and forthcoming with fellow players
