Are these going to be different in a way that you will have to choose what you will be able to reach the highest levels or will you be able to reach the highest levels in each of them independently?
-
Everyone can learn all the crafting professions and there aren't any levels related to them. You progress in them by learning new recipes, and what recipes you can use is determined by your stat distribution.
-
@target where did you get the information regarding recipes? I see the wiki shows the different crafting professions but nothing on how they work yet.
Just that alteration and enchanting will be schools that can interact with alchemy and making magic items...

I am keen to do some pottery... Magic urns anyone break the urn and summon a fire elemental...

I'mma gonna alchemy until greek fire comes outta my ears! XD
-
Alchemy would be fun if you could make guardians or traps.
Also, since humans have access to some technology, will there be things attached to that? Like will you be able to build cars or robotic guardians?

@wolfkomodo46
meka's will be in the first expansion. they're going to completely discard any of the fantasy and go straight to steampunk 100%.

It wasn't specifically mentioned that crafting/cooking/alchemy used your stat distribution, but I'm inferring that from the fact that other professions work that way.

Yeah, I thought in that Q&A an example was STR and blacksmithing. Maybe you need high PER to make good stew
