Completionist Titles

So, what do you guys think about cosmetic titles unlocked by completing certain goals?

Love it, I 100% think if you finish a knowledge branch or all of one type of crafting goals, you should be rewarded with a cosmetic title @cinnao
-
Yeah, why not
-
@cinnao something i enjoy about lotro is all the titles you can get, hopefully the same will be here
-
My friends and I enjoyed this in ArcheAge. Lots of task specific and hidden ones all over the world. Challenging unlocks or simply hoarding.. Either way, good times.
-
Just thought of something weird. What if there was an achievement for staying out of contact with female entities for a full month and the title was "Grand Wizard"?
-
Definitely something usually implemented in RPGs. You'll probably see some system like this implemented although it might probably not be in the initial release.
-
@cinnao more like "Staying Single"

I'd be up for some titles - a map completion (or 5), a series of Bestiary completion (Ecologist of Arboreus, Tamer of Tartos, etc.), maybe one per long quest chain completion, skill tree completion, Rulership of a town/city/metropolis...hmmm, anything else? if there's an arena, champion of the arena, certain pvp feats....maybe a Title noting some other feats (kill 10,000 living beings - "Psycos," heal 10,000 Health - "Medic!" etc)
-
Or gain title that will also appear after your name depending on your most valued deed ( Potato the Guardian - for saving party member from certain death, Potato the Alpha of the pack - for having 3 minions on max strenght, Popato the Cunning - for kill stealing x frags with 30% hp or less, Potato the Juggernaut - for tanking x damage in x seconds, Potato the Hated - for killing one person x times in x minutes etc.). And various stats would grant minor bonuses further defining your role (tank / dps / heal / control) - if titles would be easy to acquire, progress would be horizontal (they would be same as abilities - you would have to meet special conditions to gain them).
And those, who wouldn´t like to show such title could hide it and still keep the bonus.

I think most MMOs these days have them.
-
Warning: some of the following titles aren't meant to be easy to achieve, and other people can screw you up in attaining them. Do not try to achieve these if you are a sane person with life!
Hermit - haven't interacted with anyone, or visited any settlement for 10 days (of real online time).
Annihilator - collected 1000 (unique) kills of different people, without dying a single time in the meantime.
Pacifist - (consecutively) avoided any PvP engagement for 10 days (of real online time) - time spent on Arboreus doesn't count!
Alcoholic - haven't left the tavern for 10 days (of real online time) drinking at least one alcoholic drink every hour.

I'm okay as long as we have the option to turn people's title off.
Last thing I want to see if a bunch of floating tags above people's head in this type of game.
-
I always liked being able to set a key to flash all the names on the screen.
-
@Cinnao - methinks the actual title would be 'Incel Prime'
-
I like the idea of titles, it gives some status and goals for those who are interested.

As a completionist myself, I can only 100% agree!

I agree, it would be nice if you could turn it off above of the players. However, the focus could be more on the portrait anyway after you have targeted or clicked a other player.

I, too, enjoy the hunt for titles.
I just like collecting things!
