I’m really wondering if there is going to be a pay to win aspect in this game. I personally feel like pay to win ruins a game and I would be dissapointed if this game was one of those. Cosmetic items would be fine but items that actually affect the gameplay would ruin it

Reading the FAQ also helps to realize, that Dynamight stated from beginnning, that there will be no pay to win in the itemshop.
I don‘t understand, why it is alway a causeless discussion theme about it.

It won't really be "Pay to Win". Of course theres small bonuses and cosmetic rewards, but they're really insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

It's because so many games end up being pay to win and it ruins good games for anyone who can't afford to spend hundreds on bonuses.

Yes that can be a cause, but even then, people should read the whole concept before asking

What I find even worse than P2W is content being blocked behind a paywall. Like when you want play a certain class or race, you will have to buy it from the real money shop to unlock it, for instance.

Not rarely at all. Just look at Asian MMOs.
Luckily DS stated they do not plan to make a P2W game, and we all very much hope that's true.
