is there a rarity system
-
what is the loot system going to be like in the game?
-
I'm wanting to say there will be but I'm against it.
-
@slimeborn78 full loot game but the gear will not be crucial like other gear based games. People can be competitive since day one like a moba.
-
@slimeborn78 First take a look at how your loot/gear will be in this game.
Your armor/weapons is all crafted. No epic/legendary gear is dropped from bosses. Gear is situational and doesn't offer any power gaps.
Try to see your gear more as "consumables" and not like a fixed part of your character that you might loose upon death.
If your endurance in combat reaches 0 you are knocked down. Your inventory can then be stolen if I'm correct (consequences are different for demon/beastman/human). If then your health reaches 0 then you are death and your armor and weapons can be taken (again the consequence depends on race and alignment).

@finland i wonder how that will be, there will be no effect for items ?? that will be bummer.
-
@grofire Different types of gear will have different characteristics, but there will be no straight upgrades.
-
@grofire I really hope that will be something to not care to lose. I want play and not grind
-
@Benseine so when you say ' no epic/legendary gear is dropped from bosses' what do you mean? Do they just drop gold or whatever the currency is in Fractured.
And also with the crafting will that be a major thing in Fractured? Only asking because i love games where you have the gather material to craft gear rather then find it.
-
@shadowkiin Crafting resources and currency where it makes sense (humanoid mobs). And yes, crafting will be a huge part of Fractured.
-
@Specter Awsome can't wait to get into this game. Watched the gameplay trailer god knows how many times. And the fact crafting is a major part of this game makes me want to play it even more.
Thankyou for quick response

ok, but items will still be something we would like to get ?

i do not want to grind too, but items that do not do much will not make people want to go PVP for them.

That would be cool. I really would like to see more PvPer intrested in objectives rather than gear.
-
i'm wanting to say they're asking if gear will have uncommon, common, rare, epic, legendary, primal, etc quality tiers. usually these are associated with colors.
-
@jetah I don't know the answer to that. I was just answering the other questions that popped up in this thread.
-
hopefully there will be different rarity levels
-
I think weapons/armor + towns/player buildings/construction in general are the two long waited for spotlights.
I would think "rarity" would apply to what the gear is made from more than a color-coding found in other games. As an example, let's say copper/tin (bronze) is easier to come by than adamanatite/mithril/titanium. I would also guess the former is easier to craft than the latter so maybe a higher craftsmanship skill is needed for the more complex metals.

which is why i dont like quality colors in games. put an item level (though i hate that too) or a means to see the min-max rolls for the attributes and i'm good. currently d3 does this with gear, holding a key will show you the ranges of stats.

still if there was something like a blacksmith skill you could improve to make better gear it would be cool
