Hi all,
Fractured Online has officially been patched with the base build that's going to be used for relaunch on November 8! This update is very impactful if you are a Steam user - read the post for all the info!

@DarthJafo @Thompsen @anathem we are actively working on Kickstarter rewards, founder rewards, and the VIP system / store. We are going to release everything during the course of Early Access, with the VIP system and the store taking the highest priority - they should be live by the end of the year!

A couple of questions:

Will we be able to use the regular launcher or do we need to swap back over to Steam? I've had this game forever, long before the Steam first access.

On Steam currently, I only see a game called Fractured that isn't this game, it's another game. How is that possible? EDIT Finally found Fractured but there IS another game called Fractured. Might want to let people know in case there are some click happy people.

I went and reserved my name like the post says, I then go into game and create my character with an error of "This name has already been reserved by another player or developer". Uh, what gives??

Regarding these instructions about linking before creating a character and/or reserving a name, if I buy the game again at its base price on Steam or at a later day then link my account, will I be adversely affected?

I never signed up on steam the first time (I do have a package), so I have nothing to launch atm. Do you have a way to connect things up now? I didnt play previously because of glyph, so now that you are free of them, I will give it a go.

You can keep using the regular launcher. You can even use the regular launcher if you bought the game on Steam after linking accounts

What do you mean? No, you won't, founder packs are always the same. You're going to miss the current sales though

If you bought the game on fracturedmmo.com you can just login there, download the launcher and play on the 8th! If not, you can buy now on sale there or wait to buy on Steam on the 8th

I already own a Champion Founder's Pack through this website and can upgrade to the final one from here if it'll still apply to Steam.
What I'm asking is will I would be negatively impacted in some way if I buy the game on Steam again—base price—just to link my account and play through it after I've already created a character/reserved a name?
- (This is assuming my benefits from here will still apply on Steam and there won't be Steam Keys for those who have already purchased Fractured.)
Unless I'm wrong, it seems to be implied that something bad would happen if we don't follow your instructions and start the account linking process after already having a character created/a name reserved.

Not at all! After launching from Steam and linking, you'll find yourself in front of your characters already created, and your Founder Pack will still be in your account
