Becomming an Angel or Abommination
-
@finland What if you became a fallen angel if you become an "evil" angel?
-
@cinnao evil angel or fallen angel = demon. Angels are just an achieve to those who like follow that path otherwise you go back to your starting race/skin.
-
@finland Well, there is a difference between a demon and a fallen angel, but for simplicity, reverting to a demon would work.

Excited about the PvP spotlight: https://fracturedmmo.com/feature-spotlight-6-pvp-alignment-crime/
Got some questions about changing your alignment so a demon becomes an angel or a beastman becomes an abomination:
-does becomming an Angel or Beastman changes your looks/appearence?
-Can an Angel live permanently on Aboreus and an Abomination on Tartaros?
-Does being an Angel or Abomination changes your debuffs on other planets?
-Does it changes your attributes, abilities or special powers from their home planet?
-Can a Demon change their allignment to neutral and go farming karma on Tartaros to become a good aligned demon?
-Is becomming an Angel or Abomination tied to a devine quest?Read this Feature Spotlight #6 - PvP, Alignment & Crime:

@Finland i said neutral not evil I'm wondering if going neutral will make us lose the transformation or not yet.
-
@tulukaruk I hope so Angels should be good only
-
@finland then should alignment be locked after becoming angel/abomination? Or should it just turn you back the moment you choose neutral (possibly with some warning)?
Btw - i generally agree with you that angels should be good only and abomination only pure evil
-
I still think transformation should be gated with a quest separate from alignment. i.e. you should need to become evil as a beastman and then you can start the divine quest to transform. This would make it possible to be an evil beastman without having to turn if you don't want to. From a gameplay perspective I want to see this also apply to angels/abominations, but from a lore perspective I can understand it not working that way. If you need a gods blessing or whatever to transform, and then you start reforming back to your race's default ways, the gods would probably revoke their blessing.

I hope that will pop a warning. But I suppose that we can go back to our starting form every time by playing with the alignment

It will be possible only by divine quests at a certein point. We were talking about getting back after you achieve the new race.

I would assume that it will be possible to go back to a demon or a beastman simply for player choice and freedom.
-
I hope switching back and forth between demon/angel & beastman/abomination will be increasingly difficult/expansive. Don't like the idea that ppl can easily switch back.
-
@benseine, @rainstorm26 considering that the transformation changes how gods see you and thus changes your home planet it's impossible for the change to be easy and for sure there will be no back and forth at will

Yeah I hope so

there would have to be a way to go back and forth otherwise you'd never reach that point to begin with.
I'd love to see an achievement where you become both!

Depends on how achievements will be present, but I think there would definitely be some sort of reward for it.
-
@rainstorm26 the reward is the new race/skin
-
I don't think angels should be able to turn back into demons, simply because Tartaros doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd forgive you for your betrayal just because you decided to be evil again. Maybe Fallen Angels could be a third separate race, achieved by basically betraying both sides until everyone hates you?
Playing such a character would be a real challenge, but it seems like the obvious solution. Gods don't generally tend to be very forgiving, it would feel strange if you could go back to normal just by switching your alignment back.
-
A fallen angel is only distinct from a demon if angels are distinct from demons to begin with. In this game they are clearly not, thus a "fallen angel" would just be a demon again.
I'm sure Tartaros would be cool with it because he would just be using his followers as pawns anyway. He would fully expect you to turn back good again at a moment's notice and make the most of you before that time.
