Unrelated Clicking While Fighting

I know this has been mentioned in other threads but I it is something that really needs a solution.
If you are in combat it isn’t right to have to constantly contend with corpse clicking or clicking on trees or harvestable. This isn’t a matter of “game vision” where the Devs want us to have to work for things. That kind of thing I agree with. This is a matter of we absolutely have to have a way to be able to attack a mob without constantly clicking on unrelated objects.
My fighter would never mistake a tree or dandelion for a zombie. Nor would I stop and loot the dead while I was still being killed. It is ridiculous that we have to continuously deal with this situation.
Please, please give us a resolution to this issue!

Yes please. Would be great to see a fix for this. I've noticed that once you start work on a gathering node other nodes become inactive (ie. if you mouse over them, the cursor does not change). Maybe something like this during combat?

Something like this seems already implemented.
When fighting I can't interact with small stones and trees for example.

Yeah, it seems to apply only to some elements.

@spoletta imagine the mob's frustration, hitting me and watching me collect plant fiber and craft new bandages while in combat, so I can heal forever and it cannot...

Once I literally had to stop midfight with a wolf to open my backpack, grind his mate's bones into arrow heads, head to a tree, take some branches, attach them to the arrow heads and finally shoot it at him.

@spoletta Thats great gameplay right there. These are the things (although Bugs) that makes mmo's great. Thanks for sharing although that was frustrating for you I bet..

There have been previous mentions of a "combat mode" toggle that would be used exactly for that purpose, although I have seen no recent mentions about it being implemented or whether progress has been made on that point. However if you check your controls menu, there is a section for "Toggle Combat Mode" which is currently set to SPACEbar but doesn't do anything... possibly a future solution?

@Harleyyelrah I so hope so! It is hell when you have a pile of dead bodies and you are still fighting something and a loot window keeps opening instead of letting you attack!

The more I play, the more I think that this has been already implemented.
There are a lot of items with which you can't interact while fighting. All trees and stones for example, but also some plants.
Real issue left are only dead bodies and some plants.
