Has VR support been looked into?
-
@jetah they are 8 developers you know it right? Anyway I don0t wanna risk to get a shitty game due splitting the team on developing 2 cameras. VR is shit imho.
-
@jetah Do you even know what VR is? It's not the same as 3D.
-
you know they'll hire more after KS right?
they'd have to fake it. it'd be 3d using a VR headset.
-
@jetah dude do you really want play an isometric game with VR and Vr pads?
I suggest you to suggest VR things on CF forum, that game suits better for a VR camera.
-
CF already had it in the KS stretch rewards.
i never said they had to the controllers. you can still use the keyboard and mouse. it'd make the more '3d' than vr though.
-
@jetah A VR + mouse and keyboard yeah! You are prolly the only one that would play with that.
-
that was the concept back in the day.
-
Above your character, like Specter said, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.
-
@Jetah It's different to play with a 3D glasses in Stereoscopy mode than a VR headset in full 3D immersion.

couldn't the VR headset be setup to display whatever the dev's wanted? if they wanted more of an augmented reality instead of full immersion they could, right?

That does'nt work like that. There a difference between augmented reality and full immersion.
A full immersion is when you see by the eye of the character/camera (more or less) and your body are the device (hands, feet, voice, eye, head movement), and you not see anymore your environment. Your brain is then tricked !
An augmented reality is when you use a screen to obtain more information about some things you see. that work with camera and the video is processed to show you information on a layout on you real eye-field. Some "VR helmet" project are coming now with a camera but not common yet.So in a 3D Isometric game, if you want to show more relief, the stereoscopy process are probably the better way. So yes you could probably use the VR headset to use it in this way but it's launching money by the window like a gadget.

VR makes no sense whatsoever on Fractured

VR would be a waste of devs time.
