More defences

hi, does anyone know all the defences there is for raids. I would think it would be possible to hire someone or something to defend your home ...
-
hiring mercenaries from another world. Like demons they will have weaker stats on human world but they are desperate for money and would do anything to get it
-
or slay a Mythical Serpent wolf( whatever floats your boat) and its children witness it from the sideline and then see you as their master. they take x amount of days to grow and need constant feeding ( possible new building, taming animals) then they grow up and you can assign them to defend city or 1 to follow you

Races can not permanently stay on a different planet in Fractured. You'd be restricted to humans for defending human settlements.
That said, I'd wait and see for the first few iterations of sieges, that's difficult to balance and I'm sure a lot is going to change during development. Especially when balancing 'online versus offline'.
-
maybe build a shrine to ye olden gods and then other races can be around that ( only NPC applicable)
-
I think I've read somewhere something about hiring npc guards to protect cities, but I don't remember how deep the mechanic was discussed.
-
could be great feature
-
I will happily defend your lands, and protect your valuables. Just give me the keys to the safe and I will take care of everything for you.

I thought Beastmen can stay on Syndesia as long as they want to and only lose their homeplanet buffs
-
They can stay as long as they like, but its still not considered to be permanent cause they are unable to claim land on Syndesia.
-
Thats what alt accounts are for (claim land and make your beasty co owner or able to use it)

I would hope that something like that is considered a bug (if it were possible) and would be fixed, as it would bypass the intention.
-
That makes more sense xd

For the topic Bernu brought up, other races as mercs, it is "permament" as in "not forced from the planet"
-
I thought planets were locked out by alignment. Aren't alignments able to change due to actions in the game? Are races locked into their alignments? I might have misunderstood those items.

You could say that races are indeed locked into their alignments. As the only way for a demon to become good and a beastman to become evil to is "change race" by transforming into an abomination.
-
@Farlander planets are also locked for races.
Humans set as good can stay from 20 to 40 real hours on Arboreus, but not forever, they'll be sent back anyway after that time, for example.
Wiki has some of these numbers in the worlds pages.
-
wiki has a lot of knowledge on this matter from long time ago. I wonder how hard as a human its gonna be to kill a demon in their home world.
-
@Bernu I guess as hard as the skill gap between the two players.
I remember people in UO killing enemies while playng naked, just because they knew how to move, how to dodge and how to time their strikes.
In action combat games the player skill is usually really relevant in the combat outcome, often more that character stats and gear.
-
they just flexing. Guess new defence would be to hire UO player xd
