I can ignore topics, that's great, but I'll still get notified if I'm mentioned in the topic.
Can I mute a user so that I never see any notifications from them, whether they mention me or not? As the community increases, allowing people to avoid bumping into folks they can't stand is kind of a must if we want to avoid constant arguments and flamewars.
-
@fibs Yes, you can do it, you just=need to go to the profile and there to settings and disable the notification sound.
-
they want to mute a specific person, not turn off all notifications.
-
@jetah At the moment I have only this to recommend. On the forum of course there is the black list, but I don't know how exactly it works. Whether it only disables the ability to "chat" between users or still adds some features.
-
i would more like that people stop to create a single Hello-Thread just for the first steps in the foundation quests.
It's very difficult to track the important threads and discussions with all the new one single entry posts every day. Maybe there should be an extra dependency to the first own thread reward @Prometheus ? Like the rules for the weekly win. A single "Hello" Thread to get a reward is very annoying for all serious forum reader.

About the weekly win I think they consider only constructive threads and reply. Spam is usuless.
-
@FibS You're not the only one requesting such feature. I shall discuss it with Prometheus.
@Kralith Without those introduction threads, we would just see more spam threads. If you don't want to see those posts, you can ignore the welcome section as explained by @Finland.
@Finland Indeed, only posts that add something to the discussion are eligible for the drawing. Simple hello threads, welcome posts, off-topic posts and zero effort posts like "great idea!", "I love this game!", "I want to play!", etc are not good enough for the drawing.
-
-
@kralith you are welcome
-
how do i ignore a specific post? like the daily message thread?
-
@jetah At the bottom of the thread, choose "ignoring".
-
-
@jetah Hehe, yes that was my point too, somehow i was overseeing this. But now there is wonderful silence and the new post list shows just the interesting threads
-
yes, it's so silent.. feels great.
-
You can also Not Watch / ignore entire subforums, the primary use of that being the boards in languages you don't know
-
Absolutely necessary
-
@specter I would also like a forum blacklist to block certain people. I have had a user harass me through private messages and forums just because he didn't agree with my perspective. Also he is not an english native so his communication is poor.
-
@dagimir in this context mute, ignore and block are synonymous.

you are the guy that do it usually and insults players! Arguing about a language and calling it poor is kinda unfriendly and it could be seen as an insult.
No worries I reported you few times already and I suggest you to be more friendly.I'm here for constructive talks and not to care about people who have problems with language difficulties.
-
@finland There's no need to attack other members. We don't know what kind of harassment @Dagimir experienced through private messages. We take all harassment serious, no matter who the victim is.
Anyone who experiences harassment through private messages on this forum and believes it breaks the forum rules, can send me a screenshot of the conversation and we'll deal with it. Just make sure to provide the full context.
