Is the game solely windows based or will there be a Mac client?
-
See the topic. Would be nice to know if there will be a mac version of the client.
Thanks
-
@rubayethk The game will be available for Windows, macOS and Linux. Won't appear on consoles or mobile devices in the future.
On alpha test will not Linux client, it may appear to the beta test, but will definitely be on release.

Mac's aren't a gaming platform.
you can always use the windows emulator or get a Shadow.tech system.
-
@Jetah Fractured is going to be available on MacOS as well. There will be no need for an emulator.
-
@Specter
gotta fake it till you release it on mac tho.

FAQ General #5:
The game is being developed for computers running Windows, macOS and Linux. While support for all these three operating systems is planned to be available on full release, it is possible that only Windows support will be available during alpha / beta. Clarifications on this issue will be released when the game approaches Alpha / Beta testing.

and i'm sure it isn't really enough to justify the monetary cost to keep it updated. if it's a unicode type thing then it wouldn't matter.

It is just a Linux, so yes, that will work for sure, if the Linux Clients works.
-
@Kralith I know there's a way to make a chromebook into a linux and not Chrome OS, but I can't do so with a school chromebook
-
@MrWoof I think you understood me wrong.
Chrome OS itself is based on Chromium OS, and this is based on Gentoo, and Gentoo is a Linux. So technically Chome OS is an own Linux Distribution.I just mean, you can run Linux Based Programs at Chrome OS.
If i remember right, they even have an own Workspace (virtual Sandbox) just for running native Linux Programs.
-
@Kralith On certain Chromebooks, you can run certain Linux programs, not this one though I believe
-
@MrWoof You mean your School Chromebook?
Maybe because you don't have the rights for
-
@Kralith or there are different chromebook brands that allow different things..
