Proximity looting/loot detection. Something like Project Zomboid. I think if we could see all containers/bodies merged/linked within a distance of the player, it would be a better compromise of the intentional time sink of moving from container to container.. Think of the package station and a cart.. Imagine opeing the cart and seeing all the bags in the station because you are near.. Same with smelters.. Same with lootable enemy bodies.. etc..

RE: "Fight the good fight!"
The first step to fixing ranged is homing auto attacks like AO. Rangers for example, feel pretty awful in pvp and their potential is limited by this clunky implementation. Save the skillshots for the abilities..
@spoletta said in "Fight the good fight!":
Auto targeting for ranged: This would go against the intention of the devs. It is intended that you need to manually aim the target.
A bit excessive.. Allowing homing auto attacks within a reasonable cone doesn't take anything away from requiring skill shots on all abilities. It just fixes the clunk/jank ranged users have to deal with trying to land chip damage and move around.
Looting on Syndesia: I agree with no gear loot for anyone, but there must be some kind of penalty for reds. If we add (as sorely needed) an equipment wear on KD/Death, then reds could suffer more from it.
Lineage II PVP and karma system would work really well here with just a few tweaks IMO.. Could even incorporate your item wear in place of their progression loss.

There were no stats tied to arrows.
Bone and stone ones were identical.
? As I said "Definitely would have been nice or would have benefited from more variations.. Metal etc.. stat increases.. etc"
Maybe you are confused by the progression I was referring to? It would have been nice if they had different stats as I said.. But the progression as I explained, was in ease of gathering and the efficiency/value each material represented as you progressed.

@spoletta said in 'Legolas Quiver':
@Vortech there was never progression in arrows though.
I'm pretty sure we had bone and stone before? Start picking up stones, make arrows.. Kill things with bones, start making arrows with those.. etc
Definitely would have been nice or would have benefited from more variations.. Metal etc.. stat increases.. etc

RE: [Prestige] Towns prestige is stucking, decaying and counting wrong
For anyone that has not seen, @Prometheus says prestige will be temporarily removed as a requirement to upgrade cities while they work on a proper fix.
I was going to share how we also lost more than ever before after completing more houses yesterday.. But now it is a mute point.

RE: Auction house strikes again
This was a nasty one, luckily it is being reported as fixed in the b.0.1 patch notes found here https://forum.fracturedmmo.com/topic/15179/patch-log-b-0-1-bug-fixes

RE: 'Legolas Quiver'
I enjoyed the progression and variety of different arrow types.. It gave less useful drops some purpose. The system just brought some depth.
I would have liked to see this go the way of New World where the arrows became weightless in the quiver and increased stack sizes for quality of life.. Accomplishes the same things, doesn't remove the depth, and it reintroduces the progression of arrow types.

RE: A Different Perspective to Alignments and PvP Issues
I don't speak for everyone, but all of those I have spoken to regarding this issue.. Nobody likes RNG and nobody wants RNG to determine dropped loot.
As @THH mentioned, the current time gates introduced from crafting and refining are a major concern.. To expand on that, drop rates and rarity of T2 specific materials are another one. When you combine these concerns, loot drop is far too punishing in the current environment for most to run anything worthwhile.
The meta will develop in to naked pvp, primitive armors, etc.. Some combination of trash gear as gear fear reaches all time high due to grind time and time gates.
To your larger point, I personally I think the whole system we have in game right now is unnecessarily convoluted as it is.. Now we're talking about expanding on that. While I support dynamic incentives, I'll just say that if good alignment remains on Syndesia then there should be no positive incentives at all and only negative. I've shared and discussed the concept you mention of incentivized play on the specific worlds and I agree with most of your closing there.. All that being said, I think a key to the future success of the game is to simplify all these alignment systems before launch.

RE: "You are encumbered" but no Weight-Debuff when collecting Wheat
This bug is the only light in the deep, dark, basement we know as farming in Fractured
May this be low on the list of fixes

RE: [Prestige] Towns prestige is stucking, decaying and counting wrong
I just wanted to add our name to the party, Braavos has been suffering from a prestige issue like this for while now as well. Early on we notified who we could and submitted our bug reports.. etc. etc. Recently the issue has become much more aggressive as the prestige slips backwards what seems like immediately. Our progress has been hampered by this issue, but in the past we were able to overcame it by coordinating the completion of new builds with a rank upgrade.
We feel we've hit a ceiling now, as we no longer can bump our displayed prestige faster than it drops. New building placement is seemingly costing us prestige right now. At this time our true prestige is 1,670 but our town hall only displays a prestige of 1,200. Yesterday during the placement of a new building the displayed prestige actually dropped down to 1,100 until the building was completed where it returned to the previous display value of 1,200. We gained no additional display prestige and slipped further back in regards to the delta between display prestige and true prestige since we increased it with a new building.
In total it looks like 5 towns are suffering from some sort of prestige calculation issues. The conquered town of La Ruche displays 300 prestige while only a market remains. The newer hamlet of The Shire features a tavern and a bank worth a total of 200 prestige yet their displayed prestige value is 400. The others effected are Braavos as I mentioned, Far Far Away as this thread is dedicated to, and Sparta on the Aerhen continent. @Kralith has been a great support comparing notes regarding this issue. Now that it has been publicly recognized by support here I chose to add to this thread rather than make another.
It's imperative these prestige issues are ironed out before any raid or siege mechanics are returned to the game. Legacy towns suffering from upgrade issues deserve a fair amount of time to upgrade their defenses just like those who have been able to upgrade without issue.

RE: tech unavalible in tech tree???
They're in, a town on Aerhen has them. The description and visual representation must need updating.

RE: Problems logging into fracturedmmo.com
@Ketamin said in Problems logging into fracturedmmo.com:
And another fun fact if I would need the glyth authenticator app to log in I wouldnt even be able to download it on IOS in my country (Germany). How hard can you fail with a migration? I hope the development of the game itself goes better than your migration attempt.
I hope Gamigo will consider sunsetting their proprietary authentication app and allow the user to choose an authenticator app like Authy.

RE: Closed Beta Starts Soon!
@Logain said in Closed Beta Starts Soon!:
The Improbable Unity GDK Github mentions:
'(...)This is the repository for the last version of the GDK plugin that is compatible with the SpatialOS legacy platform. The GDK is frozen for users who have not yet migrated their project to SpatialOS running on zeuz.(...)'There's currently no active branch for Unity and SpatialOS on Github. The Improbable webpage DOES NOT indicates a rebranding to SpatialOS on IMS zeuz.
I've bolded and italicized the important bits for you. So there's three different things here.. You have zeuz which is a hardware backend software management solution, SpatialOS which is a networking engine, and IMS which can be a managed solution/consultancy product that can tie it all together (Improbable Multiplayer Services).
@Logain said in Closed Beta Starts Soon!:
That's not what I asked.
You overlooked another part

We're using the Glyph launcher so it makes sense they'd house login information etc.. Considering the payment portal >changes and public comments on the revenue share
Hope all this helps.

RE: Closed Beta Starts Soon!
@Logain said in Closed Beta Starts Soon!:
Is the game still using the deprecated SpatialOS Unity GDK for the backend or was it migrated to IMS zeuz? Are you allowed to selfhost? Who's the entity that owns the server (physically and legally) Gamigo or DS?
The Gamigo data transfer news implies that gamigo US inc. is now hosting and managing the website and forum. I was told by a moderator that's not true and it's still DS for both. Could you clarify the physical and legal ownership of the server for the website/forum and who's in charge for configuration/maintenance of the server and who's in charge for updates on the code?
SpatialOS hasn't been deprecated, also.. SpatialOS and zeuz are different things.
Regarding the data transfer, that screams GDPR compliance more than anything to me.. We're using the Glyph launcher so it makes sense they'd house login information etc.. Considering the payment portal changes and public comments on the revenue share, I don't see anything out of the ordinary..
