    • [Client Memory Leak] Client doesn't seems to unload stuff from memory

      Yesterday we was in a group of almost 20 people to make a world tour.
      We was riding from Valhalla Atrium all around the world to visit all the points of interest.
      We figured out after half of the tour, that everone of us (some a bit earlier, some a bit later) had the same behaviour of the client.
      This was the path we did, with some small fighting at the points of interest.
      It was around after 1-1,5 hours:

      While the Latency and the FPS was stable as they should, the client started to stutter in showing the world itself with each second step we did.

      While all animations still was smooth, just the world itself made hickups, like loading new area after 2-3 steps of your horse. It was like you watch a video with one (1) Frame per second or you click through a dia show.
      As i said, all other stuff was still smooth, like fighting or running around, when your client didn't load next Area. Also while the world loading was just like 1 FPS the Character animations itself on the horse was showing in normal FPS.

      We all did just a logout/login again (not a client restart!), that solved the problem till the memory was filled up again.

      @Harleyyelrah nice find of a bug. And respect for putting yourself into the jail for testing purposes! Big thumbs up, not many PVP enthusiasts would do that. ❀

      Again, it is an Alpha and such problems are expected to happen.
      Thank you for your apologies, but don't worry, i am sure, the most Alpha Player will know about the possibility of technical issues.
      Cross my fingers, that the cause of it will get discovered and doesn't hit again in later testphases of beta or in release.

      Reguarding the prison and bounty hunting seems starter cities have it. I was told so by our friendly main dev Prometheus. So will be fun to see what the real honest PvPers will do with that system.

      I guess they won't like it, since we figured out, it takes them out for a very good while or they need to pay a quite high price to get released.
      Let's hope our Sheriffs do a good job and make the server a bit more playable for good aligned people again. πŸ˜‰

      @CoachFubar indeed, for PVE player the Spring-Alpha is becoming a pain, since we have Ganking-Guilds on the server, who don't go for the honest PVP opponents, but for people who doing PVE stuff.
      This kind of player is going against people who already fight in dangerous environments with strong creatures and they use, that the group is an easy PVP-Target for that reason.
      I almost think, they do that, to get their daily doze of "I am so cool" and if they face real PVPers, they piss in their pants.
      I am curious, what our honest PVP player will do. I think i will check, if the bounty hunting system is already working.

      I think a full log would be way too much data, especially for the Storages, since they get filled and emptied all the time. Who will watch this log at the end, you wouldn't find anything in it.

      A better Permission System would here solve some problems between trusted citizen and new (not yet trusted) citizen.

      Citizen just need to keep their eyes open and use social skills to communicate with each other, who is filling, taking, using the stuff and in which order they use per example the smelter.
      Here hits another problem, that if the citizen spot a greedy or thieving citizen, the governors can't see who it is in list, when the citizen don't has the same name. However this thoughts i placed in another suggestion about Better Management of Citizen. You are welcome to write your thoughts there too πŸ™‚

      Ahh and @CoachFubar think about to place this Suggestion on the right Forum Section πŸ˜‰

      @Argonaut hmm why you think it is like this?
      Also lowering the requirements would lead to not knowing, if the requirements are too high or too low in general. Thats a part of the test, to give a feedback after it, if we could handle our towns well enough.
      Also, not every City is supposed to grow to a Big Town. Some will surely be even in Release just a Village and stay like this. These people in Villages will need to get their Stuff from other Marketplaces.

      You point out the thing we already mentioned and you are absolutely right.
      Governors can't stay 24/7 on all the buildings in a town to watch, who is taking stuff. And even they would do, they would not see at the moment, what they take, excpet they check before, whats exactly in the storages and chests and compare after someone was on it. For each one who look to it.
      Governors just can hope, people aren't greedy. But we all know, there are greedy people who don't care to be like this.
      A bad side effect is also, if the people made a second character with a name that nobody knows and take stuff out. We have as governors at the moment absolutely no chance to make a sure connection to the name in the town register list. Only chance is to annoy the Admins with questions about who is who.

      For me it happened yesterday, when i was looking into a loot window, got the item tooltip and anyone else took it out, then the tooltip stayed till i moved over another item in my own inventory.

      You need to see it from the other side.
      If it stay like it is right now, smaller guilds and single player won't get any invite to a town and would get excluded for sure, because a town can't be sure, that there will not be a greedy and spying people who just comes into a town to steal stuff.
      So it will be more excluding of smaller groups than with a better permission system.

    • [A2.5.x] Unable to place a 5x5 Land Parcel - no blueprint appears

      We want to place a 5x5 Land Parcel at our City Space, but if i click on "Place" nothing happens, no blueprint, nothing. Not even the Crafting Window is closing as it does if the Blueprint appears.
      We thought first, it may be because of the Architecture Research, but we unlocked that and it doesn't work anyways.

      I have another issue with placing a storage building on a space where it would fit, but it tells me, it isn't on a road, even it is:

      (sidenote: i know there is a Wagon, but i tried same without this wagon before and had same result. Screenshots just made to post here)

      There is a road, because i can add a road at the place where i want the storage:

      Also the size of building should fit, because the other wood storage is on same postion on the other side. I just think the road is preventing the placement, since i can't add another roadpart towards the Townhall to the right and the precondition needs the next streetpart to get fullfilled?

      I guess thats the point, you will share your KP gain with your guildies as long you all are involved in a fight, even you aren't in same party.

      Knowledge gain sharing between party / guild members is now working correctly. If a player gains kill rights on a monster, all the members of the same party / guild who have taken part in the fight gain kill rights too, even if the damage they dealt was minimal.

      If it is working now, that would be soooo awesome! πŸ’•
