It will surely depend on number of players that buy the game from different regions. If there is many players, they will surely add another server (logical).

RE: Consider: Alternate Controls
@FibS why should devs cater to players that cant afford to pay more than 5$ for their mouse. If they can't do even that, than how much they will spend in Fractured cash shop? Yeah exactly, 0 or close to 0.
Devs pushing away players who can actually afford expensive mice and keyboards by not letting then use those in their game (and thus pushing them away to another games where they actually can use those) would not be a smartest thing to do.

@gothix plz is equal when both goes for a duel/fight. If I go for somethign else and you jump on me that's ganking.
No that's open world PvP.
If you are careless about your surroundings that's your own problem, and not another players problem.

@gothix the numbers of players playing mmorpgs. Active accounts without multi accounts. Not gonna argue again about this topic. But PvErs are way more that PvPers and Griefers/Pkers are a really niche part.
So take a look at Eve Online then.
The point is that most MMOs get designed more towards PvE, with all the PK punishment that PvE players always cry for. And then of course when those MMOs release, PvP players go and play something else that has an actual PvP. This is why MMOs that get designed for PvE, get played more by PvE players. It's a closed circle.
MMO that would get a nice design with nicely designed PvP that's not punished, will get played by a great number of PvP players.

Btw, you can slot 8 skills on your action bar, not 6.
Yeah I was just giving an example that it's an equal number. The point is you can't use all skills you have in your book, and you are on equal terms with another player.

@gothix niumber are out there just check the player base on games that allow ganking with full loot
Where? I don't see any numbers?
When you run through the world, does it say above players head does he like PvP or not? And did you count that? Where is this number you speak of?

RE: Two questions on Voices.
Creating a VoIP inside the game is (in my opinion) just a drain on resources that would be better used elsewhere.
Discord exists for VoIP, it is free and easy to use, and offers much more then just VoIP. There is no need to create an extra VoIP to serve for the same purpose.

I love this completely unsubstantiated (and completely false) argument thrown around all the time.
Show me some scientific study numbers where it was shown that "those sensitive folks" keep the games alive (lol).

@tulukaruk said in PK punishment:
@vicious from my point of view PvE players gives arguments and PvP carebear players cry that they should be able to zerg without any penalties and kill the PvE players.
@tulukaruk "ganking" is picking on people weaker then you that can't fight back. Attacking people that are equally strong as you (or stronger) and could smash you back easily if they wish so is not ganking.
And since Fractured has no levels (everyone is equal) and everyone is limited to carrying few skills in skill bar (so when you suddenly meet someone in the forest it doesn't matter if you have 400 skills in your book or 20 skills, as you can both only use 6 skills that you have active), also everyone has full stats since beginning of playing, it means when you meet someone in forest, you see each other and 1 vs 1 fight happens, this is not ganking.
Ganking can only happen (in Fractured) if you gather up a group and then go seek out solo players and attack them.
But this is MMO, people are supposed to have friends, and ask for help. Fractured is not meant to be a single player game, because then devs would not tag it as MMO.
Also full loot is a core mechanic of the game. So please stop crying about someone else being able to attack you. You will NOT be able to play "your PvE game" as you say it, because this is NOT a PvE game.
The most you will have is few safe zones, and when you get out of them you will have to deal with the PvP.

RE: GvG siege questions
I hope there will be large enough player population so that we get servers in NA and in EU.

Little bird told me. Then she flew over me and dropped her referral link on my shoulder.
At least she didn't spam...

RE: What We Know About Weapons
Mage can cast without any items, but not as potent as he can if he has a wand that serves as magic conduit, or having other items that boost your spell powers.
So yeah sure, mage can cast without any weapon (wand), but a potency of spells cast like that should be mediocre at best.

RE: I want to get excited but...
@Phaethonas @Finland Fractured will not have ganking for the simple reason that it does not have levels, and all people start with access to full stats and EQUAL maximum skill slots CAP in a skill bar.
This means all 1vs1 fights will not be ganking but will be fair fights and a better player will win.
Only small advantage is possible due to one player having a bit better gear, or bit more alternate builds to chose from, but since skill bar is limited having more skills does not mean you can use them all in a fight so that's not really a huge advantage.
So the only way to gank someone is by bringing a group of people to attack single player, but not in 1 vs 1.
And since Fractured is a full loot MMO, this means that old players can lose all gear they have (and often will), and there will not be a huge gear gap between anyone really. Fractured be mostly about player skills, and group organisation.
So people can stop "ganking" discussions really. This is not that kind of MMO.
And if someone doesn't have skills to play, well, then that is his own problem, and not a problem of other people that are also playing Fractured. He can play, practice and get better.

RE: GvG siege questions
However limiting GvG on particular number of people would be bad as well, because then many people can be forcefully excluded from being able to do the content.
Remember ArcheAge and player limit on sieges. But there are more examples. I would definitely not want to be in a large guild then and having to watch others play siege and me not able to join because player limit was already reached.

what can we do with agricultural products ?
You can have them stolen from you if you are not careful.
(I suggest finding a nice guild that suits you, with like minded folks willing to help out in times of need, rather then just soloing through the content)

RE: Consider: Alternate Controls
@FibS I never use macros. I prefer to play "manually" and have direct control over everything I do. I prefer a "skill" play.
However I do enjoy possibility to customize game controls to the way I like it. Its 2018. People use more than rudimentary mouses and keyboards now days. I don't see a single reason why a game would not allow people to customize controls to their own liking.

RE: Dungeons
@gothix as far as I know mobs will drop just money, rare resources and reliques. You may identify reliques and discover things also gear piece or weapon piece used by crafters. I'm sure that will not drop equipable items.
According to what @Nelchael posted, the way it's worded, "You might be able to recover equipment item from a corpse of creature you've defeated. It might be enchanted (but this means it also might not). IF it's enchanted you wont be able to use those special powers before identifying them."
The way that's worded could mean that you might get equippable items of creatures, they might even not be enchanted. IF they are you will not be able to benefit from enchants, which still doesn't mean you can't use unidentified sword to swing it for physical damage, just without benefiting from it's special magical powers.

RE: Price
20$-30$ on full release (as insinuated in spotlight). Early access (alpha/beta) and kick starter packages will likely come in wider range on prices, depending on what particular package will offer (how early access, how many cosmetics, and how much CS currency, perhaps name reservation, and similar).
