      The thread was about good or evil, I'm making the point that this is a very blur subject and depends a lot on point of view. There is no clear line between the two.

      That man is not "evil" for stealing. He may be very sorry, and feel hurt that he is forced to steal because it's the only way to protect his kid. So an action of stealing does not make that man "evil". He did commit a crime, but he is not bad / evil because of that necessarily.

      @Finland I actually enjoy a mix of PvE and PvP a lot. It makes things less dull, less boring, specially after game is already "live" for a while.

      PvE gets dull and repeatable after a while of doing it, killing same boss in same way over and over. Having to deal with PvP while doing it gives something fresh and different to each fight.

      It's just better then isolating PvE to stand on it's own. At least in my opinion.

      There is no "good" or "bad". Everything is relative.

      If you need to steal the medicine (from hard working man holding the farmacy, who also needs to pay the bills and feed his kids) to heal your kid because you can't afford the medicine (even after working hard and trying) and it shows as your only option to heal your kid, is stealing medicine good or bad? (Lets assume that you tried to ask for medicine, and failed to get it in any legal way)

      Everything in life is relative and so is in game.

      There are million scenarios where you can't say is something is good or bad because it depends on point of view.

      The real question should be: "Will you stand to your principles all the time, or would you deviate from them if profitable opportunity arises" 🙂

      No room locking. This is not a PvE game, and players will have to deal with PvP while doing PvE.

      (And vice versa, while PvP-ing in the forest you will have to deal with mobs that you agro on you while doing it. Same as you will have to PvE to gain knowledge / professions for consumables etc. to actually be able to do PvP)

      So you will have to deal with PvP while doing PvE, and vice versa.

      WASD would allow for more dynamic combat, that requires you to give more constant input, but also gives you more in return.

      For this reason players that aren't competitive don't want to see this implemented to the game, because they want to keep playing game on "easyer mode" and they don't want anyone else that chooses to play on "competitive mode" have advantage over them simply because they are lazy and they would like to play the game with only one hand. 😉

      Why did vanilla WoW have Naxxramas? (that only like 5% of population could do, and only 1% of population could clear it)

      Because competitive players want to have something to work for, something to strive for, something that takes time and effort and isn't just easily doable. They want something that when they finally succeed to "have bragging rights on", to have accomplishment not reachable for everyone.

      Competitive crowd is seeking MMOs like that, and if some MMO is made so everyone can simply do everything, then whats the point?

      Of course, developers can chose to make MMO like that, but such choice will send a bulk of competitive players that like the challenge away to play something else.

      PvP will of course be challenging - if sensitive folk don't get their way and it ends up punished 😉 however there should also be a part of PvE not doable by everyone and his mother.

      At least I'm hoping for such MMO. I don't want Farmville 2.0 with upgraded graphics.

      • movement on arrows (or WASD)
      • rotate character by moving mouse pointer around him (also aiming skills)
      • bindings to mouse buttons, shift + mouse buttons, ctrl + mouse buttons, ctrl + shift + mouse buttons (I have 10 mouse buttons, that allows me to place 40 binds only on mouse)

      I see no issue I would have to be able to control my character.

      We will see during Alpha how the server handles it.

      Of course if ping shows to be crucial, and NA players having advantage over EU players and keep winning battles due to ping, and only 1 server will be in NA (I am from EU) then of course I will not play the game.

      But if ping shows to be an issue, then I'm sure devs will plan one more server in EU. They do not want to lose EU population due to something that would be a game breaking issue.

      We will see in Alpha.

      Majority of PvP-ers are not gankers. It is a bad design to punish majority of PvP player base, because of just small part of gankers (and ganking of low levels will not even be possible in Fractured).

      This is why sandbox games work well. They allow community to deal with issues as they see fit, by actually playing the game, and not having a game forced in certain way by design.

      (and I'm not asking for FFA everywhere, I am happy with current Fractured design. I am commenting on thread title, that is called "PK punishment" which should not exist in any other extra way)

      Again Fractured is not designed for ganking, no levels, every player can slot same amount of skills, every player has full stats from start, every player can keep losing his full gear constantly (so no play time advantage between old players and new), and gear is easy to come by.

      So please can you stop throwing "ganking" word around already?

      I prefer playing games with challenge. So the more danger from various sources, means I have to pay attention more, I have to be social, and actually play a MMO, and not carelessly like some farmville game.

      I understand that some players want to minimize the difficulty of a game, to reduce the challenge and danger, but hey, we are not all the same I guess.

      But you should understand, this is MMO and not a solo game, even if devs promised solo players they will have some content to do in here. They did not however promise them a solo game free of danger.
