In addition to ocean exploration I'd like to see an underground level put in to explore

Will they be in demand? Will people put that much effort into really nice gear if the next time you die it is gone? I remember in UO I just crafted throw away armor for pvp which was gm crafted. It was actually better than alot of what people used and it was easy to replace. I knew that when I died anything good would be gone. I expect that here as well. The insurance system went in for just that reason. Are you going to spend tons of hard earned money on some really nice gear only to lose it the next time you died? I expect things that last will be in bigger demand such as pets and house decor.

@Razvan That was my argument. As you can see that is not the case from the replies. I still find it hard to believe that all those knowledge unlocks will not be "more powerful" than without them. The only thing I can rationalize this with is that the gains from knowledge unlocks are so minimal that overall even with all of them unlocked compared to someone with none unlocked they still don't give an advantage. That to me makes me wonder if it is even worth unlocking them lol.
@Znirf I would argue the largest part of any player base in a mmo is usually pvm type of players. Any game I have ever played pvp players make up the minority unless the whole game is centered toward pvp. When UO released Trammel it was proven the majority of the player base only wanted to pvp on their own terms-not 24/7. With that said I would argue that the vast majority of players (being pvm players) will not give it much thought to unlock knowledge trees in areas they will be at a disadvantage against pvp players especially when they prefer pvm style of play. EVERY game I have played the forums end up a fight between pvm and pvp players saying how the game should be. I fully expect this area right here to be a hot topic when the game goes live. Then again if the knowledge unlocks don't provide enough of a reason to meet the challenge I expect the system will be ignored completely except by the most hardcore players who like to achieve and collect everything in the game.

I would also go so far as to add macros into the game that allow you to do repeat crafting. People are going to be employing third party programs to do these things. Why not just make it part of the game.

Nothing I hate more than having to spend tedious time combining items in the inventory, moving things around and repetitious actions. Wholeheartedly agree with quality of life options in the game.

There will be people data mining the code and I'd say within no time we will know all the particulars.
@Ravzan I've already argued exhaustively about knowledge giving other characters advantages over characters without it and the argument against has always been this is a horizontal power curve. This meaning that everyone is equal on terms of power. Knowledge is not supposed to give an unfair advantage to even a fresh character out of the creation process. If that argument holds true there is no reason not to unlock all knowledge on the account as any character gains it.

Since the argument all along is there is no leveling and knowledge doesn't cause characters to be more powerful but only more specialized then how is having the knowledge system unlocked by all your characters on your account game breaking? To me it leaves a player trying to play alts more time to actually enjoy the game rather than chasing knowledge markers.

It would be nice if you had the option of both by selecting it as a default that could be changed.

Knowledge System Account Wide
I realize that having the knowledge system account wide circumvents some of the ideas that it will be harder when your character is the opposite alignment when traveling opposed lands. With that said SWTOR had a legacy system similar where you obtained achievements that worked account wide. There is really is no advantage to any one character obtaining all the knowledge of every character it just saves time from having to redo the many things you already did on one character to get those knowledge bonuses.
Anyway that's my two cents on this topic

I hated UO looting system which was exactly the same. I much prefer clicking on the corpse with a loot all unless you couldn't hold it all.

So do you always lose all your gear when you die? If so it's an easy way to get back home for a quick log out lol.

Some of the games I have played, if they did a major revamp of how things worked, they gave a free reset to players to adjust to the new rules.

I was able to login. However, I had to go do something and logged out but tried to come back and log in and it said I had to wait for my character to time out. I can see if I was switching characters but coming back to the same character you should be able to log back in immediately.

I fully expect to create my maximum characters it would just be nice if the knowledge tree would be across the account. I realize that circumvents the idea that good characters will have to traverse the evil lands and vice versa. I just don't want to have to spend the time exploring on every character to get my knowledge points. It will end up being a grind that I do believe I'm not going to enjoy. Much like finding holocrons on on my characters in SWTOR.

I like how SWTOR added legacy stuff into the game. All your characters on your account were part of the same legacy family tree. It would be nice if the characters on your account shared the knowledge unlocks for all characters made on the account. That way you wouldn't have to explore all over again just to unlock perks for new characters you make.

@PedroBillyMattos Oh man now that you put it that way it was a pain in the butt trying to add holocrons to extra characters in SWTOR. I just gave up and started only putting select ones that were easy to get to on successive characters.
