Is there any chance we'll be able to put the game in windowed mode soon? I never play games in fullscreen. Alt+Enter makes it windowed, but the same size it was in fullscreen, meaning I can't see its edges.

@grofire That solution didn't work for me, unfortunately. Nor another person in the other thread. I hope it works for someone, though! I sent in my player.log file.

Same problem. I tried the fix, but got the same Loading World forever as before. I sent in my player.log as well.

Hm. It's been about 20 hours or so, I think, and no luck yet. Credit for the same 3 as before.

I sent in my player.log file-- to send it in, you'll need to have a character, and try to log in. When you close it out after it not loading, go to your email and attach the player.log file that's now in the Fractured folder you deleted stuff from earlier. Email it to support@dymstudios.com

Hopefully they figure it out soon! I was really looking forward to trying it out!

@grofire Unfortunately, that didn't work for me. I deleted the files it said to and my character from the server, etc. Then I made a new character, and it still didn't load for me.

Yes, several of us having the same issue. There's a post about it in Alpha 2, bug reports.

Same here. Just says LOADING WORLD. I waited over 30 minutes.

Also, when I looked in my task manager to kill the process when I gave up, I noticed it wasn't using much in the way of resources at all. Not even what I'd expect for a loading game on my computer. So it's definitely not overloading my system.

Further info:

I waited over 30 minutes (started a timer, went afk, came back after over 30 minutes) and it never loaded. Just kept saying, LOADING WORLD.

Also, since I had to get into task manager to kill the process, I noticed that it was taking up almost no memory/CPU usage/etc. It was definitely not overloading my system by any means. So I imagine that's relevant.

I have this exact same issue, with no idea what to do to fix it. I'm on a fairly nice computer, so I'm certain it's not my specs being too low. I waited a very long time (probably more like 20 minutes than 30, in my case) and then crashed it. Going to try one more time, but I don't hold out hope.

I'm able to get to character selection but then I can't log into the character. That's the issue I'm having.

In the Foundation, I have credit for having viewed 3 newsletters, but I've been receiving newsletters and reading them for about a year now.

I went to the most recent newsletter and even clicked on a link in it to read the information on the website, but got no credit for it. I tried several of the most recent newsletters, but got no credit for any of them. Finally, I tried a really old one, but still no luck.

Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know a workaround?
