I did some searching and from what I've read the answer is it will not be included. The answer why varies depending on who you ask and most of them don't make sense minus these two exceptions which I can understand.
More animation work. They'd have to come up with strafing and backpeddling animations and possibly variations of any ability that can be used why moving. The second reason being balanced. Having full directional movement while being able to attack gives ranged a huge advantage over melee in addition to the normal advantages of range. Now this could be worked around if all ranged abilities required you to stand still anyways but that could limit ability design options more than the developers want.

Out of the Loop
Been out of the loop since before the initial transfer. What's the lore behind the situation?

Small Group Activity?
I'm curious if the devs have mentioned any rewarding activity small groups can partake in? By small I mean 4-7 people.
I understand most sandbox games revolve around guilds and amassing large numbers but I don't always want to zerg around. By rewarding I just mean something that makes it feel like it was worth the time. Can't really discuss that part though until we know more about the kind of materials in the game and their worth.Though I'm not asking for huge profit margins, just as long as there is potential for net gain.
Based on what I've read the asteroid belt looks like it could be this if you connect to the right one but was curious if there might be any more information available. -
RE: How varied will the minion options be?
@basileus
I was kinda thinking like higher tier minions having one or two abilities. Making them triggered or automatic would make things easier aswell. I think ultimately having minion variety could add to the combat, however I do agree any spammable minions probably shouldn't have any abilities, or at least nothing crazy. -
How varied will the minion options be?
I know there isn't much information put out about minions by the devs yet but I'd figure I'd put this question up just because I am curious. With a physical character you can generally lean towards utility or damage, same with magic with the additional option of healing (that might also count as utility to some people though). I'm curious if there will be the capability of some sort of specializing if you main into charisma aswell.
Basically I am asking if minions will purely be stat blocks or have some sort of abilities themselves? -
RE: A question concerning the appearance of Demons
I am actually curious about this as well. While I know you prefer the anthropomorphic demon appearance I wouldn't mind the option of more weird or monstrous looking demons aswell.

RE: How will stealth work?
@jetah Not sure. I think Albion has 1 stealth ability and it lasts around 7 seconds and they still have a stealth counter. At the same time though I only ever seen stealth used in Albion to disengage in PvP or to skip content in PvE.
With that in mind though I would like to add that I personally don't think stealth should be a guaranteed escape or get out of jail free card all of the time. I do think it should work most of the time because nobody wants to build a character with useless abilities, but you should occasional have to face someone who can track you somehow. -
RE: How will stealth work?
@finland said in How will stealth work?:
@jetah I have no clue how the spells will be. but for sure time by time they have to balance everything and invi is one of the most common things that needs to be countered. There are many ways as I said. Smell could be another one too.
Basically this. There have to be ways to counter it else it becomes too dominate. For example in DotA when playing low ranked games heroes like clinks, Riki, and bounty Hunter stomp pubs because no one buys sentries or revealing dust. Even in games with short duration invis like gw2, (which had no counters at first), they had to add counters eventually because it was becoming too dominate

RE: Question about stargates.
@finland Yeah, they've said you'll have to construct a stargate which I imagine will be hard to do
