Or for example city's build on the ruines of former civilizations which you could explore and raid for artifacts and so on.... and maybe trigger something that threatens the city aboth. Mhm endless possibilities for expansions.

Maybe not only gathering but also for example digging small waterway's towards your fields and for the livestock.
Or some pipesystem and wells, waterstorages and so on. It would be annyoing as hell if you had to carry water to your fields all the time if it needs active watering.

Hmm I would like a crafting were the skill influances the outcome.
Have a low skill and the items will have crappy stats too.
Have a good skill and maybe boost from working at a smithy, woodcutting workshop, sewing station and so on results into high quality results, with stats that everyone wants.In Neocron(An mmo noone probably knows anymore, if at all ^^) it was like that nearly. You had high skill, boosted your skills even further with drugs and by being at a crafting outpost. In the end you could archive items with Artifact quality's(120% stats).
That way it would at least give a crafter some reason to hone their skills to perfection to create the items everyone wants.
Also those crafting chars back in NC times were hardly good for anything else. So mostly trading and crafting
Maybe this way we had less jack of all trades and some people specialize in certain fields.
Maybe with a learning debuff if they wanted to raise a second or third profession to that kind of level.
Which would be a huge time investment.Just some thoughts.

I really hope there won't be sharding. Only had not so pleasant experiences with that so far.
Also it can be annoying to buddy up with your group sometimes if that shard is full so everyone has to switch and so and so on. So i personally would prefer the game without it. Sure, more competition when everyone roams on the same server, but thats part of the game. -

Yeah. Hybe can be the quick death to games and already has been. @BearRod Bless Online... well the dev's released it how many times now? ^^ It was already on the horizon that it would fail rather sooner than later. Sadly. Would have been fun.
