Also not sure what calling the police in real life declareing a fake crime to scare a person has to do with abuse in a game

peta tried to ban pokemon because you wouldn't fight animals in real life so same should apply in games
If the problem is with bullies, then people shouldn't be allowed to gang up on solo players and pk them over and over again.
thing is with a real life threat, the person is REAL and in front of you and has access to you.Someone online from probably a different country has no way to carry out any threats its just words.

.... As I thought a gm time waster.The fact you would report that as abusive chat is exactly my point.
The gms are not the hurt feelings police.
I hope people who abuse the report features lose the privilege

To make it simple, when sending a report you are usually able to select a cathegory, like cheating, spam, abusive chat,...
If these cathegories are well made, there can be a cathegory "real life threats" under "chat" main cathegory.
GMs can then deal with it as they wish (according to TOS policies) and those reports do not mix with other reports, thus not wasting GM time while they are solving other report cathegory.

I think a bit of trashtalk is always fine in pvp mmo's as long as it doesn't get out of hand like rassism or doxxing etc. And btw we should stop hijacking threads and get back to OP
