Discuss how to get more people engaged

    Hey all , like the title states, we need more ways to get new players involved. I also think that we need some more gameplay footage to really get more people to look at the game. As of right now, there is hardly any footage. I think the devs should throw some landscape footage of the alpha 1 it there with some mob population and a scale to show how big the world really is.

    @grizzlypk There is advertising in the intsagram, there is advertising on gaming sites, some YouTube channels distribute information about the game. In fact, the full PR will begin when the alpha 1 starts and people will have something to say about the product, now do not worry, because in fact we have enough people.

    @muker wasn't all to worried because this game is going great. I personally haven't seen to much advertisement thats why I made this post. If what you are saing yis true that's fantastic.

    @grizzlypk The community itself asks gaming sites / YouTube channels to distribute the game, and if there is any "global news", the gaming media themselves write about it.

    @grizzlypk i think with start of Alpha 1 we will have much footages to show.
    But you still can help to advertise the game at your channels you use.
    Sideeffect, you will make probably some extra Foundation points to get some more Levels.

    how do you get more new players involved when the game is in testing? If the game enters an open beta state then we'll be playing instead of chatting on the forums.

    Well currently the only engagement you can offer to new people are those information provided directly by the team, once we reach alpha, there should not be any NDA in place, so we can "flood" the modern medias. Althoug remember - always share, never spam ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I hope we will continue writing interesting things in forum. Because just a living Forum brings the feedback a studio needs. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    When the Alpha 1 will start, it will be possible to post around videos and that will bring tons of new players to the game.
    Actually there is no real footage of Fractured and everything is just a bunch of infos on a blog/forum. The majority of players don't want to "lose time" reading so video content will hook them up better and faster.

    Having some streamers on Twitch playing Fractured will probably be the best way to fire up a spotlight on the game.
    Also getting into Steam (on Greenlight maybe?) will probably be the best way to advertise the game to the largest audience possible.

    @Lightspoon i donโ€˜t think steam is a really good idea, at least not for an unfinished game. Yes, they attract much people.... for how long? I donโ€˜t think Fractured is something that needs crickets all around. ๐Ÿ˜‰



  • Rich media will be the key.. Players in this genre of game, really don't like supporting early access games. I wouldn't push hard to get it in front of them. If enough people play it and the right people review it, I think it'll grow at a fine rate. We've got to think, it could take years to develop.. and a few more to become successful and fun.

    I agree with what some others have said in the thread. Be cautious at this point in time when it comes to creating 'hype'. Wait till you have something that can be shared without problems. Once Alpha 1 hits, the first few videos are going to be inevitable, but the real featured footage of the game shouldn't be before Alpha 2.

    hype isn't what is needed right now. let the game get to a beta state and more open to testers. then about 6 months before release start the hype train. but it has to build slowly so that a week or two before release it's at full speed.

    i think the foundation is a great tool for getting those that want to participate on the forums a chance to get something (although it works for those that just post in the daily thread).

    It's too early in development to try and start a hype train about this game.
    Would be good to do after the Alpha phases though.

    Unless alpha 1 goes NDA i'll pretty much do videos / streams to show this game.

    @grizzlypk Word of mouth & the game needs to post concept art of high level armor/weapons to get our imaginations going & a path/talent building calulator so we can start theory crafting our characters, id want one like the "Path of Building" calculator for Path of Exiles
    I would also love to see are like in the warhammer armies books the artist MG is my fav in the chaos armies book

    @Allie I think that is going too far ahead. One step at a time is more realistic. There is no reason to dump out high end armor when players quit left, right, center in the first hour of the game. I had some experience with pre-alpha so far and I think they'll need to fix a lot more things before some skill or talent calculator is made because of balancing issues etc. Heck, they aren't even ready with skills.
