Well, I saw what they did with WoW classic. It's a disaster.
They promised vanilla experience to players, and then they just took lich king expansion and are deriving vanilla from that. Animations are different, low level gear is different (we saw in demo that gear came with crit rating, this didn't exist in low level vanilla) and if they are building on top of lich king, there is plenty of stuff mechanically that will be different.
They are bringing vanilla lands, but the game is far from vanilla. I predict a huge fail, but we will see.

Crazy thing is once they saw people were all hyped up for D2 remaster or a D4, even a D3 expansion, they said for everyone to lower expectations lol. I don't really care though, this cash grab move will fund WoW classic and WC3 reforged which I am VERY excited about.

For me diablo immortal is not a bad news and making a game on mobile increase the potential number of player for a next pc game (D4)
The best news of this blizzcon was surrely W3 reforged and i'm very hyped

@Zidroc I watched live streams of people playing demo on Blizzcon. I saw it on their screens.
You can also go check on official Blizzard forums, WoW classic discussions, people are commenting like crazy. So much different than Vanilla.
Now I can't say if they will change all that, but they said release is in summer 2019. and that's like only 9 months away. And they also said, they are not giving pure Vanilla to players. They said, it will be close to Vanilla, but still "something new".
It might happen that it doesn't end up "bad", but for sure it will not be "Vanilla".

As mentioned, this may not end up bad. But it's definitely not "Vanilla".
It will be tangibly different.

@lovechildbell But they won't. They just want to milk the whales. There's no other reason to make a mobile game and they did it despite them knowing how their community will react to a mobile diablo.

I have to admit I felt like I cheered my home team all the way to the "big game" just to hear that they were satisfied to get as far as they have so they let the other team win by default and I should be happy to join them at the party they are throwing for their fans that is called the "Meh good enough for us" tickets are only $49.95.

Apparently there was a Diablo 4 teaser that would have ended the Diablo part of Blizzcon, but the announcement was pulled last minute for an unknown reason.
I am not so sure about that info and think they just "leaked" this in the hope to quiet the storm a bit.

Yeah I just found my old diablo 1 disk and installed a mod called Belzebub.... Still much better than D3 and the game is decades old
Blizzard lost me with D3... The launch was a disaster and then the game was just poorly made. Doesn't surprise me about this immortal nonsense.
Path of exile is where I get my arpg these days... Was released after D3 and the game has never stopped getting updates and content.
If D4 ever happens I'll be waiting till the game is released and see how it is before I get hyped and purchase it.

We will see what comes out off Classic WoW.
I'm considering playing for a first month or two, enjoy leveling fun on PvP server, and then see. When raiding stagnation comes, probably quit.
First 2 months are the most fun anyway in WoW, leveling through PvP world, with high enough pop is cool.
Raiding... I've done it all already, it gets boring after a while, just repeating same old thing.
If I do decide to play, I'll probably go as hunter or mage, I played all classes, but those two were always the most fun to play for me. (Yeah I know warrior is OP, but hunter and mage are just more fun for me personally.)
