Whats your favorite character Class to play on your first Character
-
@wolfiemcgee One with sustainability aka healing.

I’m a fan of the ranger/archer class also. Especially if they have a pet companion that is useful and changing to a different type actually matters.

Honestly I tend to play healers or support. One of my favorite classes are the ones that have kind of died off in modern games which is the true support. Things like the monk, bard, enchanter, and shaman from early everquest. Those roles were not about doing damage, sure they could do damage, but a lot of their focus was improving the group as a whole. The monk would spend half of combat splitting and pulling mobs so that the group always had something to kill, the bard, enchanter, and shaman were all based on buffing the group and slowing the mobs down and taking care of adds. I also love healing, it is probably my favorite role to take on most of the time. I wish we saw more support rike added to the healing classes instead of just healing. One thing I hate is how healers are expected now to spend half the time dpsing or standing around doing nothing in the downtime. Instead why not give the healers more support aspects to do in the downtime.

Actually now that I'm more about this. I like really goofy classes that are like healers but more just add some kind of benefit to the team. Like shields, speed, buffs to damage, health, attacking etc. Weird things that allow other team mates to kite around, stay alive longer. Not necessarily your traditional point and click healer but something that turns the tides of war with specialty.

Something with early game solo potential.
-
Tank/dps always have always will main.
-
I usually like tanky melee characters. Either a Paladin (2H or 1H/shield with healing capabilities) or 2H Warrior
-
I tend toward support type classes mage, priest, possibly even a rogue with ranged attack skills. Bit more of a defensive player.
-
It honestly varies a lot. But I'm always leaning more towards tanky as opposed to damage in these type of games. Traditional MOM it's dps all the way to the top haha.

@prometheus this is awesome!! This is pretty much what I was planning to go into initially, some sort of dexterity based, that enhances with utility/elemental magic and and hopefully either enchanted arrows or runes for "on the fly" magic without depleting my mana(or primal?) reserves. Being dexterity based, I was thinking I could carry a bow and a dagger to swap out as the situation requires.
