Player bounty boards (PVP)

I would love bounty boards set for people. Basically some jerk keeps killing everyone or a guild decides to be murder hobos, you set a bounty with money and upon job completion the people who successfully did the bounty got the money or item.

I approve!!
Although most people who will put notices will be salty beastmen who put notices at demons who invaded their planet.
The irony on that? Beastmen won't be able to collect that bounty, probably another demon will upon return to the demon planet! lol
-
Bestmen can defend and kill demons to collect the bounty ;). That's a good idea to create pvp objectives
-
so there is the question for the player made quests
would be nice tho
-
No please. I've played games with bounty boards and they are always heavily exploited to grief players by repeatedly setting frivolous bounties on them over and over.
-
@fibs Although that could be a problem, having friends or guildies traveling with you to thwart attempts on your life adds some fun dynamic.

Nah if the bounty is limited to evil alignment players
-
@finland i support equal opportunity bounties. that would give good players the green light to scam and have no retaliation.
-
if you are good ther's no point to have a bounty Bounty are just for assassins/criminals! If I'm good and someone just hate me, he must not have the option to start a bounty only to hurt me (personal purpose).
-
@finland not really. good aligned players could be thieves in guilds. a few guild members may want to put a bounty on their guild leader that stole the whole bank. or they could run blatant scams. There are plenty of other ways a good aligned player could get away with stuff if bounties were off limits to them.
-
But you and neither me know how the alignment system will work and how will change during a player gameplay
-
@finland I figure if I sacrifice enough beastkin i'll turn good eventually.
-
Bounty boards only if in game actions create them and not other players.
-
only reason I'd like to create a bounty is because it makes the world dangerous.
I can see it being exploited though.
-
Bounty boards should be created, but game controlled. Your bounty increases for how many laws you break and don't pay actions for them I guess.
-
@jetah Thanks for giving an example of why it cant be this way
-
but it's boring any other way. If I want to put a bounty on someone I should be able to do it. regardless of their alignment.

I don't like it. That could be an excuse to to kill innocents! Try to think pkers that starts no sense bounty vs beastmen just to have fun, to eat fresh meat! I dislike it totally, I would accept it only to punish assassins and so on (so evil alignment).

Bounty systems are used to punish players, putting bounties on innocents doesn't make sense and would just turn it into a pointless griefing mechanic. What's stopping you from simply paying demons to kill beastmen, if you like that so much? You don't need a bounty mechanic for that.

Maybe only allow to set a bounty by the killers victims. So once you got killed by someone you get the revenge option to set a bounty on the killer for one time. He killed you 3 times? You have 3 opportunities to set a bounty on him.
