There´s already topic about "why cant i be glass cannon in full plate with no downside?

1. Glass cannon in full plate and shield is no longer glass, only tanky cannon.
2. If wearing heavier armour would affect spell damage, you would suck as mage; if it would affect cd, you would have to manage to nuke enemy down with combo, if not, you would suck as mage; if it would give you huge malus on mana cost, you wouldn´t last very long - you would suck as mage.

Balance point of view - you´re either Tank, DPS or anything between, but not both. Everyone can use any ability and any talent, so only way to further balance is restriction via armour. Same with shields (no offensive spells with shields).

So, the simple way to make it so glass cannons are not glass tanks is to make it so most your damage mitigation comes from skills not armour,
yes you will be slightly more tanky using full plate but maybe you will lose mana regeneration or spell crit chance but tanky armour has spell stun chance and health regeneration for example

Allowing more play styles not everyone wants 3 set ways to play the game

That's the big deal, restriction imo is not the best way to balance things, making all choices hard to pick from and viable is the more difficult way ,yeah but it's far more rewarding from a player build perspective, I love making weird builds I do it in d2 /3 in eso even did it in guardians of the middle earth. I personally try not to follow the meta

It's way more fun to 1v1 and smash someone with a weird build then it is to be just a glass cannon or just a tank so on

@asspirin not a skill in particular but I love how the skills in lost ark feel how the mobs explode in meat chunks, and the punches/hits feel powerful

Iv always liked burn aoe style warriors walking and sticking to enemys slowly wearing everyone down

Great work on the test, and intresting read.
I look forward to next test, I'm glad the hacking has happend now hopefully all vulnerablitys will be found before live.

I DO want want to back Fractured , and have been thinking about it for a couple of days , I like the game idea

I backed Star Citizen in the past and it leaves me hesitant on the amount i want to back though

I Liked the idea of getting a game slightly cheaper and saying yeah , this is gonna be cool i want it I like your plan.

But 4 years later the game is not finished, has left me with a indecisiveness (so i have not backed instantly)

there is possibly a couple of people in similar mindsets as me (could explain the slower rate of backing)

I once admitted to how much i paid for Immortal pack to my gf - lucky we dont live together, or i may have died lmao

I put great for building and it was the only one, because I think the feel of building a house in little sections is actually amazing I really loved the accomplishment of making something and it not just being instant/easy

Something us kickstarter can also invest in with out giving all the early backer perks away sorta takes piss out of all the people who took a "Risk" early backing if the rewards are free to get by anyone especially now the funding is nearly trippled since kickstarter so the risk is far smaller

The earnt gold has not been given yet, only bought gold with real money can be seen or from packages, it will be added closer to release

I Would like weapons to be known for its deeds, a sword that passes from person to person threw murder could become legendary, with extra stats- but force you in pvp mode even in safe areas, name changed Cursed (longsword) of death

An Axe that has beheaded and delimbed many monsters - The biter

A Players whos short sword focuses on killing goblins, A shortswords is better in small caves because there is less room to swing , it could end up name changeing to goblins bane

Invite & model the kind of solidarity and constructive language that you hope to hear in reply if you experience frustration in-game.

If you experience toxicity, instead of replying in kind in a public way, try sending a DM to the person and tell them what you felt offended by, and why. If they can't hear that, there's a really easy way to ignore that person, or even report them.
