RE: Experiencing an issue with attempted login during the weekend event.
I've encountered the same login issue where my character is logged into the server while I'm booted back to the character selection screen. This wouldn't be as upsetting if it didn't happen every time and if my character were simply logged out after a little delay, but that is not the case. I have to wait for a long time before I can try again, and by then, the server cap has been hit.
(Also, it seems like the forum is struggling too right now; I'm assuming due to high traffic from others posting about problems like mine)

I agree that there really needs to be decent integration of lore in the game. For many people, that's a big factor in what keeps them playing. Even if there's not a story line, per se, three potential for deep lore is great with Fractured. The devs need to make sure they don't squander that potential.

I picture the town I hope to run being in an accessible but defensive place, but other than that, I'm cool with just about anywhere! At least for now.

Idk if it'll be an option (maybe for personal homes/residents only or something), but I certainly hope there's some freedom to customize buildings! Considering how significant town building is in this game, I suspect there will be at least some flexibility. fingers crossed Here's hoping!

RE: Special Buildings/Buildables for Towns/Cities? As well as rest-related buffs.
I'm excited to see all this discussion of town building and flexibility/customization. This subject, paired with a hopefully thoroughly developed governing system, is the biggest interest to me with this game.

@esher my first guess would be that as the town grows, there will be upgraded options, including the opportunity to hire/move in various NPC's, like merchants and guards. Granted, merchants will be limited considering how this game will work, but there will still be a need. And things like guards, servants, couriers, etc will likely be important to keep the gears running, since people generally won't be able to be online 24/7. There'll need to be something's to keep things running and protect your town while offline.

I'd not all stretch goals are reached in time, I could see the remaining rewards becoming either possible additions with future patches/expacs or made available through the in-game store.

RE: In town sieges, will there by like npcs fighting each other? You know, training some units and sending them to city siege.
Will there be a way to train/upgrade guards? I think it'll become really important to have good defenses in place, considering members of a guild/citizens of a town can't be on all day to defend against attack (even if the only real danger is during eclipses). Of course, I also think that attacking a town would have to either be a siege or would have to be agreed upon, like a scheduled battle on the field, agreed to by leaders of attackers and defenders.
Although, the more we learn, the more I suspect that taking a town by force isn't typically going to happen anywhere but Tartarus. I suspect that on Syndesia, with the exception of eclipse attacks, it'll come down to guilds disbanding or towns AFKing and deteriorating then being taken over/rebuilt.

I'm super excited to see this all happen. There are tons of issues and potentially situations that will need to be accounted for though. As long as the system is sufficient developed, with extensive protocols and lots of control on the parts of rules and citizenry, this will end up being an awesome element of game that will set Fractured apart from the rest. That being said, just wanna emphasize that this system is going to have to be THOROUGHLY developed. Can't afford to cut any corners with politics, amiright...?

I'm excited that the Lich doesn't change one's alignment, but I wish there were another option for a form that wasn't undead... Maybe, if upon completing the process, you're allowed a new character customization opportunity to decide on your Lich-ness. I might be able to live with that.
