Seems like a lot of us here are in that boat of just been bouncing around the surface of other MMOs trying to find one to land in.
At any rate, welcome and I hope you stick around

RE: Songs from games
Nice songs, I went and tracked down the song i was thinking about since everyone else was posting songs
And another is from Alan Wake called
, but that whole soundtrack is awesome and the band that did that song is one of my favorite bands today. -
Songs from games
Any songs from games that stick in your head?
I have a couple songs from a game called Ashen Empires that always make me go back and check up on it just so i can walk back through those song filled areas.I also have this thing where I can remember what I was doing in a game the first time I heard a song a lot of times so everytime I hear that song it makes me think back to that game.

RE: Any tabletop gamers?
Tabletop Simulator is a good way to test out a game for mechanics and such before you buy one if you want.

RE: Anime
@lohen Oh yeah, I forgot about Log Horizon. I watched a good bit of that but stopped when I lost access to my computer for a few days. Forgot to finish watching it lol

Favorite Game Mechanics?
What is your favorite mechanics in games, MMO or otherwise.
Mine has always been Housing, and it has caused many debates in myself to be decided.
Back when Skyrim first came out I beat the game and did all the achievements so I ended up selling the game. Later on they released the housing expansion so I bought the expansion figuring I'd eventually buy Skyrim again so I could see the new housing features... That expansion was never installed or played lol. -
RE: Who are you gonna be ?
I'll probably end up going beastman, but Human for building is tempting, depends on the housing situation and how crafting will work for each.

RE: Hello!
If a game doesn't have housing, i am far less likely to get into it. on the flipside a game i might not otherwise play I may start playing because I want to see the housing system lol.

RE: Hype is real

RE: Feature Spotlight #2 - Universe, Planets and Travels
This post is full of awesome clarifications. Trying to get a few friends on board with this but they are being hard to sway with what there is available at the moment.

RE: Did I miss something? No levels !?
Monster Hunter is a game that also isn't lvl dependent. All your character progression comes from learning your characters moveset and acquiring better gear through the process of crafting. So some of that could be incorporated?

RE: Dungeons & Guild info?
@frost said in Dungeons & Guild info?:
@prometheus I do like open world dungeons. But imo you should really add instance dungeons/raids as well. Otherwise it will be just a PvP game with no PvE end content like BDO
I do really like open world but I never felt that some instance dungeons ruin the open world experience at all. This is just my opinion thoTaking a note from Runescape on this might help. They have a few dungeons now where you can do them open world where anyone can come in and steal your stuff or kick you off your farm, but you can also pay a certain amount of currency to open up private instances so that you will be safe from inbound raiders and such. This also allowed them to add the addition on dungeon modifiers to make it more challenging for better loot and stuff.

RE: Feature Spotlight #2 - Universe, Planets and Travels
I kinda like the idea of the needing to eat and drink though. If say each race has its own sustenance that is more effective for it, then it would be a limiter on how long they could stay on another planet unless they stockpiled a lot at a base on the other planets.

RE: Daily Message posting
then we're all special for making it on the first page.

RE: MMO you've played the longest?
Mine would be Runescape for sure, started playing a few months after it was released way back when I was in 6th grade lol. play it heavily on and off in 2-3 month cycles as i track the new updates for something to draw me back in.
Also played a lot of a game called Dransik/Ashen Empires until the community slowly drifted away.
Most of my gaming in recent years has been distributed through random steam games, Diablo and Runescape with some dabbling in other titles like ESO, LOTRO, ArcheAge, Terra and Albion online.
Edit: Forgot about Puzzle Pirates lol. put a good amount of time into that one.

RE: Any tabletop gamers?
I go to a weekly board game night with a few friends. We play a variety of games depending on the mood from simple short games like Coup, love Letter, or Celestia to deception/perception games like Sheriff of Nottingham, Werewolf, Mysterium, to the more time intensive games like Zombicide, Mage Knight, and Millenium Blades. Constantly expanding that library of games though.
I've recently thought of an idea for a game but feel it would be better suited as a release at a later point if I were to have a smaller game that was successful beforehand so that people would be more interested in it from a publishers trust point of view. So it is likely that neither game will come to fruition because the smaller game I am stuck on. Still jotting ideas in my notebook for the larger game all the time though.
