@Ostaff said in The Potential City Problem.:
@Nekrage That's just it, he has stated the answer several times already in both the dev articles and the Q&As. There are three different game styles being catered to. Each planet will have its own game style. You will need multiple alts to live on each planet. Cities will control only 1 or 2 resources unless a tech tree allows you otherwise. Resources can not be fast traveled and must be delivered the old fashion way.
Not the topic.
The game should absolutely be limited to 1 character and 1 account.
Lets just put this into perspective.
Let me log on all of my alts to obtain the materials I need and cycle on that as much as possible.
Character 1: Iron ore.
Character 2: Copper ore.
Character 3: Orichalcum
Character 4: Rubies
Character 5: Topaz
Character 6: Diamond
Character 7: Lumber
Character 8: Amethyst
I will be here to tell you "I told you so" when this becomes just as I explained above ruining all PvP and trading.
I would love to hear from @Prometheus that there are NO plans to allow players to obtain materials from other cities beyond trading thus confirming that alts and multiple accounts are REQUIRED to be the most successful you can be.
@Specter we aren’t talking about maintaining cities. Joining a city is enough to reap the rewards of resource acquisition. You won’t have to do a thing except line your pockets.

Put safe guards into the game to prevent abuse from using alts
I agree 100%
Currently there are no safe guards and no indication there ever will be. Hence the “meta” requiring alts and multiple accounts.
@d3Sync I always like seeing that option in games. A medium/heavy armor melee healer.
Hope to see you in the next test!

Congratulations! Will you go hunting even further?
Hell ya! I'm the only tank for my guild. You are always welcome to tag along You earned that right!
@Jimbolini said in World's First Max KP & All Pages!:
Grats!
Going to do it all again in future tests as well? (Or one time was enough?)
Hell ya I am! I hope for more leaderboard opportunities!
@MorganReed said in World's First Max KP & All Pages!:
TBH If it wasn't for the leaderboard, I would've never tried to grind out all the pages. All I need is 60 Talent points and all the warfare builds. But that is some serious dedication. Congrats!
Thanks buddy! You have been out there a ton so you are quite dedicated yourself!
Thanks guys! Now on to the next alpha test!

EDIT: Apparently, solo players can build any crafting station in their homes that their closest city has researched. This makes no sense, but okay.
Yup. Don't see myself playing Fractured in release with the current design CHANGE that we are now seeing.
This is not how Fractured was advertised and we are seeing a completely different game begin to appear. This marks the turning point.
@grofire Ohh ya? How about you take your BS and go find me a post or advertisement that says "Enemy players and guilds will benefit from your guilds hard work" or something along those lines. I will wait.
Because what I see is this.
"Looking for a new home? Find a suitable location and start a settlement with your guild. As a governor, you’ll be able to guide its development into a social, trading, or military hub. Beware, though: the rise to power of your city won’t go unnoticed, so get ready to protect it from hostile raids and sieges!"
Now where does it say "watch as enemy players and guilds craft loot from your guild's city while you can do nothing about it!"?
@grofire NO ONE said the game should be "guild only". Try your strawman argument with someone else because it won't work with me.
My issue is this.
Watching enemies sitting in your city completely safe while using YOUR guild's structures to gear up and kill your members will be the final straw for me with Fractured.
I won't be around much longer depending on how this Q & A goes. I'm not going to support a game going to casual route. Won't have it again. Too many MMOs cater to the casuals and this is starting to go that way.
@grofire said in The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight:
you will not able to kill them before or after they go inside the city
Proof right here you have absolutely no goddamn idea what you are talking about.
This is the entire issue. The game literally STOPS YOU FROM KILLING PEOPLE IN YOUR CITY.
Can you not understand that?
@Mirgannel12 said in "To fight a losing battle, and not lose it":
You said, I can't recall the exact words, perhaps you or one of the other OranThul members with you at the time; buckykat, duckfat, rife etc. or perhaps player InvisiblePP with whom you conversed somewhat, but you mentioned that instead of other worlds, there should be multiple servers, and that building was a waste of time, I can't remember exactly what you said about PvP, but you were certainly in support of it.
I believe you are really confused by what we were talking about. We rehashed it again on Discord today.

Happy to talk more if you want.
Honestly man. It seems like my idea suits you more than ANYONE. You seem to DESPISE PvP. One gank and you went a little...bananas. Separate servers keeps you away from me. That's a good thing for everyone in the end. RP'ers with RP'ers and PvP'ers with PvP'ers.
I would love to see an option where coordinates appear on the main man based off where your mouse pointer is.
@Kralith Players can use it to initiate an attack and to escape. It's the strongest ability in the game, period.
Stealth that relies on a player's ability to be stealth such as in bushes is quite different. An ability with PERMANENT stealth is literally game breaking. You can camp players in houses and just wait for them to leave.
It needs to go.
Having militia rank based on who gets the last hit in a PvP battle is a bad design in my opinion.
All players involved in a fight should be getting credit, even if it's split among'st all players involved.
Currently support, cc'ers, and even spell casters have a hard time getting killing blows.
PvP becomes less about team work and more about who is getting that last hit in.
Having to completely change a character's build and equipment to kill a single type of enemy is quite tedious.
I have no seen magic immune enemies yet but I am sure there are plans for it.
I don't really see this being a positive experience for any player.
What do you guys think about it?
@Kralith said in Physical Immune enemies should be removed.:
@Nekrage said in Physical Immune enemies should be removed.:
Discuss issues that are in the game currently. That's the goal. What the current state or focus of the game is doesn't matter to me. I want to get this information out there as something we need to address.
Thats all i said
@FibS There is no reason you should have to carry around an extra set of gear in case you come across immunity to your only damage type. It's tedious, it's not challenging. This is game design 101. Tedious does not = difficulty.
@grofire It's very hard for a developer to read "all the things are broken" and fix them.
