@darian That was the main problem with WoW when they added this. It was just a time sink for mounts and pets. It would be cool if Fractured made a "ancient" line of spells and items. You would need to track down ruins to read where ancient battles were fought to see if you could find artifacts you could either salvage or research. You might even get a subclass this way, like Ancient Hunter or Ancient Summoner and so on. It would be cool to have dungeon bosses guarding high end stuff as well as normal loot drops. You know you have to create a key to unlock a special room and its at the end of the dungeon guarded by a dragon. Its always nice to have multiple reasons to dispatch dungeon bosses and deeper interactions create lasting memories and equate to more fun.

RE: Suggestion : Good idea that most MMO's Lack.
out of all the new stuff WoW put out the Archaeology was to me the most fun.... in the end not done the best way but I did like it.

RE: Upgradable Pets
Its never bothered me in Diablo, but then again its only 4 people. Will be interesting to see how it works out. I am just glad that pets are in the game. I guess I would be cool with whatever is implemented as its not entirely my place to make you look at my pet.... but... its so fuzzy!

RE: Upgradable Pets
@chrightt on guild hunting nights in most games the leaders make it mandatory that everyone put away their pets durring events for just this reason. I am not a fan of people being able to turn off pets entirely though as they are indeed status symbols.

RE: Upgradable Pets
@prometheus I would hope that there is a form of tinkering and mechanical pets. Of all the things I liked about vanilla WoW it was tinkering (explosive sheep? yes please) and the fact that some of the best stuff was for tinkerers only. Pets were a big selling point initially for me.

RE: Cosmetic cash shop, RMT and p2w.
@prometheus I am glad to hear that. It builds value for items if they are not able to be sold off in game. It curbs the disappointment some would have attempting to get rich in game by purchasing items to sell as well.

RE: Upgradable Pets
I have always collected pets in every game, its what kept me interested in WoW as long as it did as a hunter. Glad to see a full combat pet function will be in the game.

RE: Suggestion: Just something I always wanted. Name my sword!
I would like to see only epic critical completions be nameable. Make critical forges rare say... 5% chance, and epic critical a 5% chance of a critical. This way only the best weapons of its class are named. I do like the idea though, and getting a super high end weapon named could be a thing of legends, talked about by all.

RE: Cash Shop Items You'd [Consider] Buy
I would rather pay a small subscription than be expected to buy from a cash shop. I am not going to lie, I have nearly sold my soul in Star Citizen, I paid more than my fair share in the Ashes of Creation kickstarter, but I am not a cash shop kind of guy. I dabbled with it in MWO but it never felt good. I would rather earn what I can. Well to be honest there hasn't been a cash shop that appealed to me. If I could buy superior crafting tools that say do not wear out and look cool when being used... well that I could see as valuable, cosmetic only items though.... not so much. While I understand you must not cross the thresh hold of pay to win I think simple tools that do not wear out vs tools that are inexpensive but have to be fixed by NPCs from time to time is not a P2W deal. So there you have it. I would pay for cool looking indestructible crafting tools.

RE: Feature Spotlight #6 - PvP, Alignment & Crime
I like it... yes sir I like it lots. I love that being a beastman pretty much forces you to play nice with other beastmen. Makes it a little less shady and you can bet it will be a strong PvE planet.

RE: How do you feel about transmog system for fractured?
Never been big into transmog, as you said in EQ it was bragging without bragging to walk around town in in the best gear in the game. Being the first on my server with Natures Defender and second to have Fiery Avenger turned heads and having a full suit of (insert top gear armor) and people would run over and inspect you and you were buried in a flurry of tells asking about your adventures. I would hate to miss out on some of that.

RE: I have no friends :(
I only have a couple gaming friends but its hard to talk them into stuff like this. They just want to see end products. Kickstarter games have burned some people and its hard to get them to come back. I post on forums but some just bash kickstarters and toss out some compelling failures. My son was interested for a bit, but he and his friend have moved on with other things and will wait for bigger updates. I have moved up in points pretty much by just doing all the social quests and with a couple active recruits from other games I play. Just keep up with the game and stay active here in the game forums and you might get a weekly 1k points also.
