Crowfall is full of people buying the early access for no reason. Maybe they just hope to play a game ignoring the fact that they are buying something to support or to test.
That is irrelevant to my question. I asked what makes them think their game, while still mostly conceptual, is theoretically worth as much as a studio who has a wealth of proven talent in the industry.
I like the concept behind this game, and the team seems good, but they are still a new dev team with no notable experience to my knowledge.
So who is shelling out €500 or more for this

I think the prices are high (speaking internationally) in comparison to other titles/games with this sort of backing (new devs, etc).
$40 CAD is your lowest option.
$15000+ CAD is your highest option.
Most folks are going to fall between the $40 CAD and $150 CAD options if I had to guess (Recruit / Patron).

While I don't think "parkour" could work in a game like this, I was glad to see in the gameplay/SpatialOS clip that they showed both a leap and a blink through a location that was seemingly impassable (re: walking) normally. That is already A+ in my books and makes the gameplay around quick/skilled decision making on pathing and route selection a more valuable skill.

In SWG I loved the bounty system while playing as a bounty hunter to hunt player jedi. Walk up to the terminal, see who was overtly flagged and had a high bounty, tracker droids out, start the hunt.

@darian Yo this isn't Role Play R Us, we talking about what makes player run cities awesome here fam. That being said, I don't mind some RP city dwellers, makes the atmosphere good and adds to the overall feel of the town. The more the merrier as they say, whether those be lambs for the slaughter, RPers looking to enjoy a night of whatever it is that RPers do, or wolves. Kostanland will be the best Hellfire Demon run city in the game, confirmed. Praise be Galvanos.
I'm looking forward to any additional information about this as pretty much it is what has me most hyped for the game. Is that odd? Running a city is like the end game for me? Damn, FeelsSadMan.
Id love for economy to be local to the city as well, just say no to global auction house. I think the concept of local economy, and perhaps goods/services taxation set by the city to try and foster the type of market they wish to see would be amazing. IE I want my city to be home to all the unsavory folk, so I don't tax anything thats typically black market but have a modest 5% taxation on legitimate goods/services you know?

I'll play something seedy surely, that will enjoy thievery and assassination. Now that being said my primary goal will be running a player city so if there is something that benefits me in that regard, I'm in.
If we composed a hit list of "must have" things in player run cities what would be your top item?
Personally I enjoyed Cantinas in SWG, so hopefully tavern/bar with gambling would be A+ in my books. I'd like to see zoning be a possibility as well if we are talking pipe dreams.
? Do you mean milestones are do you think a game in pre-alpha has already broken some sort of record? Is the hype level for this game that high already?
