RE: Hello and little help please
@SirNikola Isometric top-down MMO with seperate worlds and races for PvE, PvP and mixex playstyle preferences with some ability to travel and intermingle in between, player-driven economy, and a horizontal progression system.
Pretty sure we're full loot on death, right guys?

Don't think things will be so rosy in Tartaros.
I'm really looking forward to giving Tartaros a go, and really hoping it doesn't just degenerate into a pit of griefers... But if it does, I can always elect to turn Angel and hang out somewhere else.

RE: Suggestion: Different spells have different armor requirements
@Gothix said in Suggestion: Different spells have different armor requirements:
These "gear management" mechanics are "less friendly" towards longer distance travel.
Longer distance travel is supposed to be something you have to prepare and plan for. So it's "less friendly" in the sense that you have to work for it, yeah. And there's tradeoffs.
So you can bring additional gear - but you need high strength and will lose inventory space. Or you can bring a pack animal and a cart, but that will make you a tempting target for an ambush. So maybe you need to get together into a caravan with other travelers for safety and to pool resources do do long range travel and oh look, emergent gameplay just happened.
But yeah, it's something that'll have to be balanced out. Just keep in mind that it's hard to see how that balance will play out later given that some of the key systems (like pack animals and carts) aren't implemented yet.

RE: DOTs
So poison is procentual, right?
I think it's proportional to total remaining endurance, but haven't actually done the math to prove it.
I've noticed that mini-boss enemies - the kind I can solo, so just things like Goblin Warchief type enemies - when they fail their resist check to that poison spell, it does damage in the high 100-200 range per tick. But if I use it on a wolf, it does damage in the 50-100 range per tick.
Additionally, if I land a poison spell on a Goblin Warchief at the beginning of a fight while they have high endurance remaining, it seems to do more damage per tick than if I land one at the end of a fight when they have low endurance remaining.
I've interpreted that to mean that the damage per tick is proportional to the total amount of remaining endurance. Note that this isn't the same as being a percentage: I'm not sure what the math is or how the damage per tick actually scales against remaining endurance. Not sure what kind of curve it is.
Additionally, the poison spell comes in different strengths based on your intelligence, and I haven't tested it with characters of different intelligence levels to see how the different poison strengths behave or anything like that. I'm the kind of nerd that would try giving each strength of poison a progressively steeper curve if I were implementing it, but not sure if that would balance properly from an actual game designer's perspective.
But please keep in mind that I haven't done the math to prove any of this, so it's very possible that I'm mistaking some other mechanic like poison resistance, or that I'm even just imagining it and there's no real relationship there at all. Take this with a grain of salt.
Experiment with it a little and see what you find.

RE: DOTs
@Recoil From what I've seen with that starter poison spell, I think it does damage based on the total remaining health of the NPC. So the more health the NPC has, the more damage it does. Haven't fully tested it, but I've noticed it doing a lot more work against bigger enemies.
Also, for the thread in general, there's spells like the FIre Totem which are kind of a DoT effect in that it can cast Firebolt over and over again. Just unlocked all the Goblin Fire Shaman spells and I've now got to a point where Fire Totem and Fireball give me the missing DPS I needed to burst down a woodland wisp solo. Very happy.

RE: [FRAC-1868] Can't place fences outdoors. (Fixed)
Ah, it seems to be only particular places now, where previously I couldn't place them anywhere.
Must be intermittent.

RE: [FRAC-1868] Can't place fences outdoors. (Fixed)
Actually, this seems to be fixed now? Weird. Just logged out and then back in again and it started working.

RE: Just created an account! Game looks very good.
Hello Bixxsy!
I agree, the game is looking very good lately!
Super hyped to play this game if civilization doesn't collapse before it comes out.

Yeah a video would be nice. I did not have a chance to watch it live.
It was early in the AM for me. I'm hyped for the game but I'm also 35 and need my sleep to not be a grumpy asshole the next day.

RE: Suggestion: Different spells have different armor requirements
@Gothix said in Suggestion: Different spells have different armor requirements:
Just like 3-4, so you can make more distant journeys (further from your home) and still be able to change to fit more scenarios, without being overly limited by your (other items) carry capacity while doing it.
You want to be able to prepare by carrying multiple sets of armor? I think that's great and the game should reward it.
If you want to be able to prepare by carrying multiple sets of armor but not have to pay a tradeoff in terms of inventory space and carrying capacity? I'm much less on board with that.

RE: [A2.2.1b] No rights to loot Treant killed by me on my property. (Fixed)
Here's the screenshot from yesterday.
-
Mobs running through walls of my house.
I claimed and built a house near a spawn.
Actually kind of like it, I get to harvest some good stuff from that spawn.
But I do have an issue when indoors and enchanting with the door closef, if a mob wanders too close the can detect me and run in through the walls to attack me.
Is that a bug or are collisions on player created structures for mobs just not implemented yet?

RE: [A2.2.1b] No rights to loot Treant killed by me on my property. (Fixed)
Can confirm it doesn't happen to treants that I kill off my property.
Can confirm it doesn't happen to other mobs that I kill on my property - wolves and sprouts don't reproduce the issue on property.

RE: [A2.2.1b] No rights to loot Treant killed by me on my property. (Fixed)
I could reproduce. Have screenshot, but cannot upload to Imagebin right now.
Both times the treant died on top of a placed item. A wooden chest in the lastest example.

[FRAC-1859] Ashes crafting text says bones but accepts branches.
Using a.2.2.1b on Windows 10.
In the campfire crafting menu, Ashes reads as:
Ashes
A mound of ashes mande from burnt bones.
Used to craft unguents to create poisonous pastes.
Quantity crafted: 1
Time required: 2However, the ingredients indicate two branches, not two bones. Doesn't match.
