RE: The current stats system is a turn off for the non dnd players.
@Vaiduoklis yes, Fractured stats are highly imported from D&D from what I've seen, but of course they'll be adapted to work on an MMO instead of a pen and paper game.
That said, what you propose sounds like the concept of secondary stats a lot of games display in their character sheets.
You have main stats on which you can directly act (by choice in character creation, by leveling up, by empowering abilities) and then you have secondary stats derived from primary ones.
I suppose this is already how it works under the cover, but as you say it would be nice to see them in clear, so that every attribute adjustment reflects into its secondary stats in real time, allowing for finer tuning on the character. -
RE: when must be download the game
@anasfract you can install and donwload now, but there will probably be at least a last patch before alpha starts.

RE: Menu mobile devices
@stef0ra sadly Safari is falling down really fast in the browser ranking...
(And I've never had so much consideration for it neither when it was "good") -
RE: Calling in sick to work for gameday
@Mofobunny next level is playing while you work from home!

RE: Hey, I come from LazyPeon!
@Ketamin welcome to the forum!
I found out this game via LazyPeon too actually!
Alpha testing will begin on March 31st, for everyone who bought a founder pack of according level.
So before putting your money in you will be only able to watch other people try it, unless they do some sort of free keys giveaway. -

@sqolp welcome to the forum!
"Hardly" used in that kind of sentence means "Its hard that someone...", so the title sounds the opposite of what you meant to say... -
RE: Int and Cha required stats? = Unbalanced?
@Xzait I usually don't believe too much in luck in games, since my own anti-luck can cancel out any rng bonus I might have.
Jokes aside, thanks for the insight on what you experienced with a high CHA character, I'm not going to dump any stat, I think, I usually play balanced, exactly to avoid minmaxing and the penalties that can come with that. -
RE: Just discovered this game, and am hyped.
Plus I suppose you can join a guild even after the game starts.

RE: SKYCLIMBERS!!! (Valheim+++++++++++)
@ElphXIII sounds promising!
If Fractured wasn't around. -
RE: Coming from Albion
@Zori if it wasn't for how the premium works it would have be almost full good for me...

RE: Hi, looking to fill up void in my heart UO left in it 20 years ago. Is this a right game for me?
@Colt welcome to the forum!
I think this is the game for you, and for me, and for everybody actually!
As for Steam release, considering we're still in alpha and Steam community is harsh with early access games, I don't think it will happen soon. -
RE: Coming from Albion
@HBlaise welcome to the forum!
I'm thinking about playing some more Albion while waiting for Fractured, since the control system are similar, but I for one will not bounce much once Fractured will be released for real... -
RE: Menu mobile devices
@GamerSeuss I was about to make an anti-Apple comment too but I didn't want to be first at that...
Sadly buying Apple means accepting an hight-cost low-compatibility device, and newer Apple politics will push further in that direction, they want to be elite, they end up being alone. -
RE: March Winter Alpha?
@drfate786 again you don't need to be a developer, a coder or a hacker to detect bugs.
Open alpha phases are great to find those bugs that emerge by extensive playing, because big numbers are what matter in the end.
That said is not that you don't need professional testers, but the devs are themselves professionals testers, so they can do that side, or they can pay external ones, but this doesn't remove the benefit of a big player base to test further and find out something a smaller group could have missed.
What I'm trying to say is not that professional testers should lose their jobs, but that common user testing is also highly beneficial, because it brings in more numbers, more potential interactions that you can miss with a reduced and more specific testing team hunting for bugs on purpose.
A lot of bugs come up by accident, and accident are more easily reproduced when a lot of people is randomly using the product.
Not only that, open alpha means that players can get the feeling of the game and report unbalances, quality of life lackings, suggestions for improvements, totally better than finishing up a product just to find out that the end user is not happy because noone asked his opinion. -
RE: New player here
@Reggie welcome to the forum!
Your friend is wise indeed! -

@Farlander https://forum.fracturedmmo.com/topic/13501/74th-article
As @Ostaff points out there, it might be a draft they're still writing and have not published yet, rising the posts count even if you can't see it yet.
