@gameoverman2016 Too much offscreen viewing area would give an unreasonable advantage in combat, there is a slight advantage, but I assume most people would prefer black bars over stretching the view and distorting graphics.

RE: Races restricting freedom of play.
@Veeshan Also, Wildfolk don't PvP, they can go Neutral and fight another neutral but they aren't even required to go neutral when Legends are summoned on Arborea (confirmed via Jacopo earlier)

RE: As a Chinese player, let me talk about the shortcomings of this game.
@Touyukami That's on purpose.
The key to this game is exploration. That means when you encounter a monster, you don't know what kind it is. We have suggested that once you get a monster to a certain percent of knowledge that a tooltip with their name would appear, but no response to that as of yet.
Regardless, not havinng a monster tool-tip initially anyway is completely intentional. You're supposed to go out and discover such information for yourselves.

RE: Fractured Online - Early Access
@Logain Asteroids are supposed to show up kind of randomly, but not necessarily very close together. I don't believe the intent is to constantly have one asteroid after another spawn, and of course, they could once developed, reuse a given asteroid's layout, so curate once, rinse and repeat.
Also, the tool for creating the smaller scale asteroids then may be different than the major map tool, and thus may not be developed yet, who's to say.

RE: As a Chinese player, let me talk about the shortcomings of this game.
- Not sure what you mean.
- You can see a green dot where your party members are in the mini-map. It is doubtful they will implement something like this for the World(s) maps.
- One click pickup is not intended. Things like gathering are meant to take a couple seconds, and looting a corpse is supposed to take time so you can possibly be attacked/interrupted while doing so. This is not an instant gratification game, and there are some time delays in the game for a reason.

RE: We are a group of Chinese players. We need the Chinese version
- Someone has to do all the translations
- Those translations have to be integrated into the game's code for utilization.
This means that although other languages are coming, it is by no means an instant fix, and they have to weigh the integration in to the overall development plans.
We do know that language packs are planned for the game, and are added as they become possible based on factors including demand, but we can't say what those factors entail right now. The Developers are doing what they can do, but as they are already working hard on the Early Access that drops tomorrow, other things are by necessity delayed.

RE: Hope to add hiring NPCs to collect and build, NPCs can also be killed
@summy For the most part, this game doesn't contain any NPCs, and has very little intention of having any.
A few small NPC roles might be added, but for the most part, the game is dedicated to being Player Driven, so no NPC merchants, quest-givers, etc...

RE: Fractured Online - Early Access
@Logain They did say, even with the procedural map tool, that encounter zones, like PoIs are still individually coded/filled, and an Asteroid could be looked at as a big PoI or small close gatherings of PoIs.

RE: We are a group of Chinese players. We need the Chinese version
you posted in multiple places.
Additional language packs are expected in Autumn. Unsure which ones, but it takes resources, time, and demand to get an official language pack added into the game. We may have demand, but time and resources are also still a factor.

RE: We are a group of Chinese players. We need the Chinese version
@jiubajian11 Additional language packs are slated to be coming in the Fall. Unsure exactly when, but it takes resources as well as demand to install an official language pack.
I am unsure what languages are coming, just know that they said additional language support would be in Autumn according to the Roadmap.

RE: Fractured Online - Early Access
@Logain 15th is specifically Steam EA so Steam should be available right away, barring complications.
Asteroids had been pushed to around Tartarus patch last I heard, but roadway should say for sure.

RE: Citizen of which city?
if city is gone, you can join a new one if they will have you. That being the case, there is only 1 more day until the servers go down for the wipe, and they come back up on Thursday and you'll have to rejoin a new city and remake your character as it is, so probably moot now.

RE: PvE & PvP Balancing Feedback Thread
The Early Access Trailer isn't fully limited to advertising what will be available just during EA. One of the first races it shows is Demons, and they don't' show up until Fall (probably about 3 months away, as it is usually near the end of the season, and Wild Folk just now are releasing).
PvP is to be supported, but the PvP world that focuses on it isn't there yet.

RE: Citizen of which city?
how long ago did you join, the city you joined may no longer exist.

RE: Spell types..
They are keeping that kind of information close to the chest until they are ready with its release. Anticipate that it will be once they decide on appropriate mobs to drop those skills. A lot of the summoning/transmutation type magic for instance is anticipated to be on Arborea, being the Primal world, while a lot of the PvP focused skills will probably come out on Tartarus when they introduce Demons. Everything, however, since it drops off mobs, is based on when they introduce the appropriate mobs with those skills, and they don't always telegraph that.

RE: PvE & PvP Balancing Feedback Thread
@Vultar The thing is, they have already marketed, and made the Kickstarter and got their pledges based on that marketing. Changing now could lose you a lot of those you initially got as your backers.
Changing gears sometimes happens, but you have to be judicious in how you do it. The game is absolutely playable and enjoyable as PvE right now, bugs and lack of end game content and all, there is still plenty as far as PvE to keep most PvEers happy.

RE: Wildfolk becoming evil / Advantage on Wildfolk World? / Wildfolk appearance change to look evil (Abomination)?
@Vultar On introduction of the Wildfolk, you have the option to go to Syndesia (the human world) however, travel to the human world does require the aquisition of a type of Primal Crystal, which we don't know what that source will be, but we do know it is only on Arborea.
Every world is supposed to have some resources that are unique to that world, Each race has benefits, Humans are more versatile, and have Tech Levels, Wildfolk have Primal Shape and Attribute Affinities that give different Solft/Hard Caps, and Demons are supposed to have some kind of Demonic Powers, however, Races lose things when they change worlds. Primal shape goes away outside of Arborea, Demon Powers go away outside of Tartarus, and obviously Humans probably can't transfer Tech Levels to other worlds.
All of which is subject to change, but currently what was initially advertised for the game and has been mentioned in the various Design journals and release notes throughout the Dev cycle.
They have not released any details on the differences between Abominations and normal Wildfolk, Liches and normal Humans, or Angels and normal Demons, but they were mentioned in the very beginning as well.

RE: PvE & PvP Balancing Feedback Thread
The trouble with that advice is the PvP World isn't actually in the game yet, and is set to be the last planet.
Syndesia, the mixed world, is based around having both PvE and PvP, but the PvP is supposed to be discouraged and punitively punished, which is why Jail time is a huge part of that.
Also realize that although they are the loudest, PvP is actually the smallest overall percentage of the gaming populace. Yes, they bring their own content, and yes they are generally the loudest and most noticable (because in a lot of ways the PvEers keep mostly to themselves) but PvEers are a big part of the game, and more importantly, the PvE world is currently being introduced on the 15th, and Syndesia needs to be at least 50% PvE focused.
This is a niche game, so you don't worry about trying to draw 10,000 pop. Each Continent can only really handle maybe 1000 at most, more like 500 or so

RE: Feedback on Legends
@Logain My thoughts are, the biggest deterring factor for legends are:
- Possibility of getting Ganked as a PvE player
- Amount of Resources needed to Summon them.
- Currently, many of the Legends do not work.
- Once all Lore Pages are gained, they don't really offer up much that is worthwhile based on the consumption of the reagents at the alters. I mean, legendary reagents are good, but currently at least, they are scarce enough that nobody is using them for enchants, and the enchant system needs an overhaul anyway as many reagent attributes are completely unused.
I am not opposed to some other value being added to Legends, and I definitely want to see Legends opened up more for the purely PvE characters out there, not just a beacon for PvP players to come in. Your idea with Prestige is intriguing, I do admit, and the double summons idea has merit as well.
I don't think Legends need to drop gold, unless said Legend is a Gold-mob anyway (Wolf Legend shouldn't drop gold, nor Spider, nor Bear, but Goblin or Jotun or Primordial, sure).
