@Gothix A free server for UO called Outlands had a system for sea fighting and it has the same similar click to move. I never got into it so I don't know the particulars.

RE: Idea: PvP Is Determined By Which World You Choose To Play In
I personally do not like to pvp everyday. For that reason I will choose to reside on the beastworld. The devs purposefully developed 3 different game worlds; pve only, pvp only and mixed. That insures everyone is allowed to play their gamestyle 24/7. Those are the choices you have to look at and discount that race and alignment are also attached to these choices. I know this hampers the roleplayers somewhat but pvp is a much larger issue than someone pretending to play a role.

RE: Winter Alpha Spotlight – City Overhaul
I really like the changes that allow solo or small group play. I play with a group but due to my online times I am usually doing solo or small group play. This makes me happy that I can now craft alone

RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight
I seem to remember a time when this forum community argued hard against the game steering toward large groups that dominated the landscape. It would seem logical to me that to combat that idea encouraging solo play or even small group play would be beneficial toward this end. I highly feel that solo play should not be a detriment to the point someone gets frustrated and quits the game.

RE: End game?
There was no endgame in SWG and yet to this day people cry over that game ending. The game was about the group, city, pvp; ie everyday fun. The only finality most the players in our guild found themselves doing was finishing the achievements or unlocking their jedi status. Here we have the knowledge tree and becoming an angel/demon.

RE: Are guilds world specific.
I agree with Gothix. Guilds should not have restrictions. As it has been stated alignment could be ever changing. Race to me has no significance as a restriction. Guilds will naturally limit themselves by member attributes. I personally wouldn't see the point of adding a person that lived on another planet who would most likely not be involved with guild activities. Thus I limited our guild as the leader myself without the game putting a restriction on it.

RE: Are guilds world specific.
@GamerSeuss So guilds are restricted by race? I could see alignment for game purposes evil and good should not mix. Neutral should be able to go into any guild and I don't see how race should matter since alignments can change as you play. Maybe some of this will change as we get closer to release.

RE: Are guilds world specific.
The wiki doesn't reflect that humans have a specific alignment.

RE: Say Chat?
I like chat bubbles in that you know who is saying what with a glance at the screen. However I also like chat windows because it is easier to read. I'd go for both

RE: Tier 3 and 4 is it real?
@maze Hsaving negative effects to counteract the positive also keeps the vertical growth idea in check so it is more horizontal. If gear and knowledge add to stats to a cap that is much higher than the starting base set there is definitely vertical growth. But then I'm not convinced that a no growth vertical system is going to be fun. Most players like to see their characters advance.

RE: Tier 3 and 4 is it real?
@maze Hopefully it remains that easy but how many posts have you seen where people have been complaining that the game needs to be more difficult lol.

RE: Tier 3 and 4 is it real?
With gear being so easily lost or broken will players even invest the kind of time needed to make this level of stuff? I'm sure some will just to say they can or wear it around town but to actually use.

RE: Wagons and handcarts
I'm not for anything that just adds to the game to make it harder. It's not real life. It doesn't have to feel like work.

RE: City / Town Plots Removal
I know in SWG you had limited space for your city. When someone left the game their house decayed if not kept up. I'm not sure if individual houses have this option or if house plots are static and you just pick one but when you are trying to squeeze in every bit of space for allocated buildings in was necessary in that game to pick up stuff and move it so you could make room or just organize things for just the looks of the layout.

RE: City / Town Plots Removal
Oh man I'm big on changing things. Even real cities reallocate land in their cities as they grow and the need arises. As anything evolves change is often necessary, be it changing up your character choices to city layouts. It's a game. People need to have fun and not have reason to just quit.

Past games I played had a popup you could toggle if you were going to do something to flag that you had to confirm by hitting.
