I'm pretty sure @Shillver was trolling. If not, his posts are very.....sad.

RE: Games Without AH
@crowdac I just noticed something. I wrote residential plots, not commercial plots. Spotlight #7 says, when referring to plots "residential, NPC shop, etc." . Commercial plots, would be something the DEV's would have to add, along with the citizen ledger. Maybe they already did and we just don't know. Hopefully, if both haven't been considered, they could be.

RE: Games Without AH
@jetah Sorry for the long post mate. Yes, they do . I shouldn't have said taxes would replace the rental fee, that wasn't the correct verbiage. I would suspect players must pay an NPC that is employed by them; because of realism and I think players have to pay carpenters for upkeep(unless we upkeep ourselves or get the Immortal package). I see what you're saying, but I'm referring to taxes. Rent is a different matter.
On the matter of rent. Its my understanding that space is limited in towns. In Spotlight #7 rent is never mentioned only taxes. A person can purchase residential plots of land from a GM or Governor (depending on if the Town is a Free-town or Guild-town). That GM or Governor sets prices for lots and taxes on said lots.
So what do I mean by letting rentals happen organically? Rent would be imposed by the purchasers of lots, not the GM's or Governors. I don't know if citizens can purchase more than one lot. However, if they could, it may be more economically viable to purchase as many lots as possible as a citizen and then rent said lots to other citizens who wish to setup shops; instead of owning a shop yourself. Although, players who are citizens would need an in game ledger for this to be possible. -
RE: Post Kickstarter Funding is Going Well
@genobee Definitely. I think once Alpha 1 starts and people start to stream on twitch, we will see an uptick in the forums and funding. anyways.

RE: Games Without AH
@mazikar I like your idea, I would make only one change. Give the Governors the option of charging a flat tax or a tax that takes a percentage of your earnings. This would replace the rental fee, unless space became valuable, then rentals may happen organically. Also allow the Governors to increase or decrease the flat rate or percentage tax, creating economic competition between towns.

RE: The Tides of PVP
@Jetah All buffs are lost on Syndesia for both Beastmen and Demons as @Target mentioned. However, Demons also suffer from leaking vital energy after a couple of hours, but don't suffer this penalty during an eclipse. I'm not sure what happens when they convert to neutral on Syndesia @Target may know.
@Jetah I don't believe the Gods have the reach you think they do. They seem to bring their will to fruition via those who worship them. It is up to their champion's to rid their world of blasphemers. Not sure if this is true, but seems to be. Otherwise what would be the point of offerings and Divine quests? -
RE: The Tides of PVP
I didn't see anyone mention eclipses or alignments as balancing factors for pvp. Evil alignment face a penalty for traveling to any other planet; vice-versa for those who are good aligned. So for example the only time it would be a good idea for Demons or Abominations to plunder Syndesia is during an eclipse. Even if there were one guild on Syndesia and one on Tartaros who ruled, those two guilds would have to deal with each during an eclipse. Because of this I believe alignments and eclipses are going to play a big part in balancing pvp and could potentially prevent this tide from happening.

RE: A New Beastman
@dragomok I don't believe he ever said differences between humans, wolves. and lobsters are negligible so much so that they don't exist. He uses the lobster and the wolf for examples of hierarchies having an evolutionary basis. Just trying to have a bit of fun. Hope we can still be friends.

A New Beastman
We need a Lobster Beastman. They would have a special ability attached to them called Serotonin Berserk. For a period of time they would get a scaling boost to attributes in PVP for every kill, but when death falls upon them their attributes would suffer for a period of time. This ability would be attached to their God who they worship (Jordan the God of Hierarchies). If they choose another God to worship they lose the Serotonin Berserk ability.

RE: Character Creation
@dragomok I'm going to be creating an Udo (Wolfman) as well. Although my character will be a bard, illusionist, marksman. So its more of a support/DPS character.

Skill, and Spell Power
Example: Conjuration "The power of most abilities belonging to this school depends on the Intelligence and Charisma of the caster."
Does this mean:
- Some spells will rely on Charisma for power and others Intelligence
or - The sum of both will determine power for most spells in this school
- Some spells will rely on Charisma for power and others Intelligence
-
Character Creation
I understand there aren't any classes. I'm just interested in hearing what everyone's ideas are for the direction they want to take their characters, in terms of race, skills and spells. I know we don't have details on skills and spells (we just know which schools we can study) so we'll have to speculate or generalize. Yes I'm bored.

RE: This game will be p2w?
Wouldn't you consider the VIP in Fractured Pay for Convenience instead of P2W? I wouldn't consider anything offered in VIP P2W.
- Discounts on Store items
- Unique cosmetic rewards for accumulated VIP time
- Other vanity rewards we might think of in the future
- Additional study slots(Can study more spells at a time. This offers no tactical advantage in PVP)
- Increased Knowledge Point gains(Fractured characters are already competitive from day 1 so this doesn't matter)
I don't see anything here that is P2W, Fractured VIP, from what I see, is P4C (Pay for Convenience) .

RE: Abomination races?
@dragomok I had previously read that post and completely missed the part about transformations. Well, this for sure answers the question. Thanks for replies everyone!

RE: Abomination races?
@target this helps. Thank you! It would be cool to play a Skaven though.
