RE: Stress Test Server Issues
Cheers for the update. All part of the development process

RE: Peeking in for the brief open test! How do I choose my race?
They seem to be four human classes so far.
I've tried on and off for hours to get past character creation, but the server is full.

RE: where i download this game
Ahhhhh, "Where can I download the game?"
As seen on every MMORPG in development forum for the past 20 years.
You know someone's taking the game seriously when they can't even read the website first.

RE: WoW Classic is coming
Pretty much zero interest. When WoW was becoming 'a thing' back in the day I was on the EQ and EQ2 side of the fence, having got my start in UO. We kinda looked at WoW as being a bit naff. I moved on to SWG after EQ2. WoW just never got a look in back then, so won't be getting a look in now. It just never interested me in the slightest.

RE: Pledge Packs Are Going... With A Sale!
@Aurellas nicely said. Same overall position as me, much earlier in the thread.

RE: Hype Train!!!
Without being a Debbie Downer, hype is what kills a lot of games at launch.
I'm open to "whatever". I'm putting zero expectations on dates.

RE: What are you watching right now?
Finished Good Omens recently, it was fab. And loved the backlash it caused, with calls for its cancellation. But the people protesting were so clueless they protested to Netflix, instead of Amazon. PLUS, they didn't seem to comprehend it was a one off series. There's nothing left to cancel.

You keep bringing that up as if it makes it okay. Oh it’s fine, most of them are early bird prices. Lol.
Not sure why it amuses you; it's a simple fact. And what it means is that many original backers paid the same as the sale.
So if you're going to flip out on the sale, you'd better also flip out on the earlybird pricing during the KS.
Otherwise your whole argument is incredibly hypocritical.

Yeah, for me: game being made > individual gripes that I may have. I suppose they could have offered the discount, but removed some things from each of the discounted pledges, in order to keep the original value of some of the earlier purchasers. However, even that route is filled with tons of extra work for very little benefit imho.
I hear you in a broad sense... but do keep in mind that many of the discounts are in line with what the earlybird KS prices were... so there are KS people who paid exactly the same amount as what's being offered in this sale. I think that's hugely important to remember. A lot of people got those earlybird KS prices, me included! So was that bad, too???

RE: What part of the game is most intriguing to you all
I've always enjoyed persistent housing in a game world. I know other games offer it, but hopefully Fractured offers good combat and other gameplay around it all to make it the cream of the crop when it comes to this stuff.

RE: Pledge Packs Are Going... With A Sale!
I'll simply repeat myself from earlier... do we want the game made, or not?
The guys setting these prices obviously have a better view of the financials than we do, and if they feel they need to offer discounts (which are tiny; comparable to the KS early birds as I've said multiple times in this thread), then who the heck are we to argue? Let's worry about the game getting made, and a healthy audience, rather than money.

[ANZ] ANZ Irregulars - Beastman guild for ANZ/Oceanic timezone
Are you playing on Arboreus, world of the beastman races? Are you gaming from Australia or New Zealand? Consider joining the ANZ Irregulars! I'm setting this up to be friendly, relaxed and casual - befitting the PvE-friendly server we want to call home. Naturally, anyone in the Oceanic area is also welcome, as are people in the US and EU who find themselves playing during ANZ friendly hours. As more people join the guild we can set up a Discord and whatever else members want to have. It's still EARLY days! See the link in my signature to join the guild.

RE: Game at this stage
@Koelhanna my gut feeling is that it's going for the UO crowd, in the same way that Legends of Aria does.
By which I mean, open maps, the ability to put down a persistent house where you want, etc, etc.
However... and this is super-key... the combat in this game is kind of Diablo-esque, and better than LoA.
LoA has been a flop, to my eyes, primarily because of its combat. So this game has that advantage already.

@Pluto said in Pledge Packs Are Going... With A Sale!:
The sale was irrelevant, are you able to say that these funds wouldn’t be raised without the sale itself? As you state it’s so itty bitty tiny, apparently it’s irrelevant. Ergo, no need for sale. The simple fact that the packs were ending was enough of a spur to get people to back.
Absolute agreement from me that the packs going away is 'a' driver for people. But to give a small discount - again, the discounts are largely on-par with what the KS earlybird prices were - is a little EXTRA sugar on top. And to go back to where I started commenting on this... I think that little bit of sugar is perfectly OK. If it gets a few more people over the line - great. Because those people will have friends and other guilds and will open up even more pathways to future sales. Because, at the end of the day, more sales is what the game needs. Both during development and after development. And the team will no doubt employ multiple methods to get those sales. Unique items? Keen pricing? Whatever it takes. This is the part of crowd funding that doesn't sit well with some people for various reasons, I do realise that. But do we want the game to succeed or not? That's the question you have to ask yourself.
