Porting Test Weekend & Alpha 2 Update
-
How was the porting test? I was out of town and sadly couldn't participate
-
@Xyzz20 It was good and quite smooth, no relevant technical problems were detected, only some related to login and the launcher. Don't worry, next time there will be a lot of new features to try, we can't wait to show you the Knowledging System!
-
Definitely pumped to get our hands on those new things.
-
@Znirf - I won a key to the Alpha 1 and couldn't get past the launch. Sorry to hear that's still a problem for some folks!
Still hoping someone will post some vids to give us a vicarious look at the progress that's been made!
-
is there any back end stats you can give us? total damage done, number of deaths, how many times a wolf killed someone. which areas were most popular, etc?

Or some tech related statistics, like the server (CPU/RAM/bandwidth) usage during peak times and concurrent user numbers? Maybe even compared to the 'old' version?
-
does these numbers realy matter?
I think Znrif already gave us a quick summary about what problems occurred.
Also what we have now on data is not reflecting what will happen once the Beta starts with more players on the server.
So the data we have now may become invalid since the server capacity will be expanded with more players as well.

Yes and no. Yes, the data is already invalid now, but 'server capacity' is different on SpatialOS than your normal game development, so yes, the data does present an opportunity for some educated guess.
