That's a difficult, long and tricky subject that shouldn't be in this thread. And, I fear that it's a moot point, release has to happen soon, funds won't last much longer, at this point in development, you can't afford a shift in direction and you have to finish a minimal viable product, for good or worse.

You completely disregard contracts, money and time.
It takes a lot of time and money to change design and implement that change. Money and time they do not have under their contract. They are going to be lucky if they manage to squeeze a forth continent (Demons) and some of the many missing functionality in before they have to release.Anyway, not a discussion for this thread.
